I thought this was a very good movie. Bruce Willis always delivers a great performance. It reminds you that you need to get out and live and interact with others. There are already too many people sitting on their couch using the computer, playing video games, or watching tv. I thought it was a good plot with plenty of action.

We liked this movie because it was very interesting to see the directors thoughts on what our future could look like. Parents beware though that there are a few adult scenes that are pretty lame. It's amazing what they consider PG-13, where do you draw the line?

This movie had a great plot, less action than I thought, but still plenty to make it interesting. This is a favorite, similiar to I, Robot or I Am Legend.

I enjoyed the movie, of course ever since Bruce Willis finished the series 'Moonlighting' and started making action packed disaster flicks I have been a big fan. I really didn't care for him or his character in the TV series. Plus I didn't like his wife at the time Demi, nor do I care for her ilk now. But the 'Surrogates' movie gives an insight to what could happen to people in the future when depending too much on mechanical devices like robots to interact with their lives. Gives credence to the old funny, 'What can go wrong? ..go wrong? .. go wrong?.. go wrong?.. go....

The action sequence were fun to watch and the story is charged with analogies to online gaming and basic addictions that remove one from society. I saw parallels to the humans in Wall*E as far as dependency on technology and the inability (or anxiety) of dealing with the real world.
There were a few moments of "didn't see that coming" and overall I thought the film was good.I don't think it would be worth watching a second time, for me personally, but still a good movie.
Only 1.5 hours.

It was a very enjoyable movie. The plot was great-was able to figure a few of the twist out, but my husband was not able to. It really speaks about our society, how something made to help those who are disadvantaged becomes the norm for everyone. How we are always seeking an escape and how technology is isolating us from our fellow humans.

Although the premise is good the directing, editing, and script are only average making this a film that could have been a contender and nothing more. The aging Bruce Willis actually fit the part showing that there is worth in our humanity. The message here is that we need to embrace who and what we are and not hide behind a facade. A worthy message yet the film is mostly obvious with all of this having been said before and better. No one will be surprised by the ending which is supposed to be suspenseful and meaningful. Clearly, not a bad film, yet easily forgotten. It could have been so much more in the hands of a different director.

Well written story about breaking mans over-dependence on machines. Did leave you hanging at the end, but the main premise of the movie was there and all the questions you were asking were answered.
The only thing that bothered me (and this will explain both the nickname and the title) it really reminded me of the general idea behind Ghost in the Shell. An Anime that also pushes the separation of man and machine issue. I wont go into any more detail, as to avoid any spoilers, but if you watch anime, or that movie/series, ( and have seen I, Robot/Metropolis anime) you will get a feel for what i am talking about. If not you will definitely enjoy the movie, and the ending! That, neither anime or non-anime fan will NOT be able to predict.

Fun idea. If there's a book, I'm sure it's great. However, as is often the case, the film leaves something to be desired. It could have been fantastic, but I believe it was cut a little short.
Bruce Willis likely signed up because this looked great on paper, but they didn't quite deliver.

My girlfriend and I were very pleased with the action, plot and conclusion to this film. The CGI was excellent, and the acting was great.
I would highly recommend this movie, especially with the lame list of options available in theaters at this time.

It was a good movie. Confusing at times. I enjoyed it though. I'm a Bruce Willis fan.

This movie could have really smoked but it mostly fizzled. Largely this is due to and under-developed plot. Some of the effects along with the basic premise are high SciFi and well-done. The 89 minutes and major plot flow just do not allow for a full course meal and that is what I was hoping for. In summary - This flick is just okay - and you should see it or rent it - but, dog-gone it, it could have been so much more. Interesting and disappointing - at the same time. Shucks!
