Our 13 year old son went to this movie with his dad and had a great time. Our son gives it five stars and my husband said it was appropriate for his age group.
We saw this movie opening day with our 13 and 14-y-old children. Since I hadn't seen a preview, I was surprised to find out that 95% of the movie focused on black magic. It made me very uncomfortable to the point that I thought about leaving. I was disappointed that I did not know this ahead of time; I wouldn't have subjected my children to the film.
We liked this movie because it was very interesting to see the directors thoughts on what our future could look like. Parents beware though that there are a few adult scenes that are pretty lame. It's amazing what they consider PG-13, where do you draw the line?
Extremely well done, very funny and highly recommended. Costuming and effects were great. Wonderful cast... I would highly recommend this movie to movie goers of all ages.
We really enjoyed the film, however I was surprised the movie was only rated PG. There were relationship situations (and language) that I thought would not be appropriate for younger audiences. That said, it was a beautifully made, emotional film with strong characters and a lovable puppy. Great portrayal of how a dog really is a member of the family.
