Go see it. It is as good as the book. It was fun and kept my interest throughout. It was interesting to listen to the reactions of the other movie goers.
Could have been more ACTION and ADVENTURE though. And maybe some more tension on the "love triangle".
Hey Hollywood, we need more movies like this! A normal family in a based on truth story. The Dad is not a dork. The Mom is hot. And the story is believable, because it really happened! I didn't wait to see this a DVD. And this was worth the time! More please.
The movie was not terrible. I was not upset that I spent the money. However, it was somewhat predicable and not nearly as "Tense" as I know Bruce Willis can be. I was hoping for something a little more believable.
Me and my wife went to see this movie thinking it was goning to be a love story. It was NOT. The movie trailer led us to believe that it would be, but no. It was about dealing with death. Could be a decent topic, but not one I'd be wiling to pay for. Arrgh!
I expected this to be a typical Eastwood movie where the "baddies" do something evil and then Clint kicks some major a**. And while that did happen to some degree, it ended a bit different.
This is mostly a guy movie, but had some chick flick elements and included "something to think about" for later.
