The plot was intriguing enough to recommend this movie, and the actors carried it off well. The writing was good, and the dialog was well done. Bruce Willis really carried the movie, and did what he does best - getting beat up and persevering. The special effects were seamless and the cinematography was great. So, the only problem was the editing. With this short a runtime, snappy editing is crucial, and there were just too many draggy scenes and slow transitions. In general, I don't understand why the critics panned this, except that they seem to be trying to prove their intellectual worth these days by bad-mouthing anything that isn't going to win an Academy Award. The poor editing is minor and forgivable, so definitely go see it!

This is an Excellent Movie - future looking, filled with action, sci-fi, great plot. Must watch closely, and do some concentrated thinking to follow the movie. The concept is fascinating. Bruce Willis is in good form - if you liked his Die Hard movies, and the latest machine movies, you will like Surrogates. Had to give Willis a FIVE.

I and the 16 yr old who went with me both enjoyed the technology and concept. I think that Bruce Willis' dry humor added a wry twist to the movie. The science behind the human beings actual physical bodies sort of lacked accuracy, like Walli, but all in all this was an enjoyable, action packed without gore, movie.

Read the graphic novel a couple months ago, movie was similar but better because it had way more action. Hollywood made several big changes in the story but they were good changes making the story more realistic kinda. Definitely would recommend this, but if you are unsure you won't be missing anything by waiting for the DVD.

This is a new low for Bruce Willis who is one of my favorite actors. TO his credit, though, this trite story line and very poor production didn't help.

Willis is always solid, he is here too, but the movie left me wanting more. More everything, action especially. I'm sure anyone who sees it on cable or rents it for a buck would be fine with it, I was disappointed. Maybe this will get me to the store to read the Graphic Novel.
