Read the graphic novel a couple months ago, movie was similar but better because it had way more action. Hollywood made several big changes in the story but they were good changes making the story more realistic kinda. Definitely would recommend this, but if you are unsure you won't be missing anything by waiting for the DVD.
Definitely not a Disney film, it is an adventure movie that is somewhat predictable and overall kind of boring, felt no connection with any of the characters. The whole thing was kind of just average, it did its role of a movie where it entertained for a set amount of time.
The movie picks up and goes, and it goes at a decent pace. During the battle scenes sometimes I felt a little lost as to what was happening and they were very over the top action packed and showed limbs getting blown off. The story was okay and none of the characters really had any depth to them but the way the movie goes it didn't really need depth. It is an action movie through and through.
I liked the visual effects that they used throughout the movie, they added so much to the mood of the characters. Not only do you see him feel alone in certain parts but the visualizations would really show you how alone. It was very true to how someone looks at a relationship and tries to get it back into one. It was very good.
It was a good movie, missed the first 5 minutes but it was interesting throughout the whole thing. It was full of dialogue and not much action but it was just like Pulp Fiction. It was broken down into chapters, and moved smoothly. It is not like Kill Bill, it showed people getting scalped for a brief second and a branding that was the grossest thing in the whole movie. It was good.
I did not enjoy this movie. It had a great idea for a movie but I felt no connection to any of the characters. It was very dry for the first 3/4 of the movie, people were walking out after 30 minutes. A lot of stuff happened that made me go "Who cares?" And then at the end so many things happened that made me go "Why didn't they do that oh I don't know 20 years ago when they first got here?" It brought up so many questions like there are over a million aliens in this small area, so where are they? I saw 10, where are the rest? So many plot holes and I didn't care about the main character at all. If you want to see it wait for Netflix to get it so that you won't pay any money for this specific movie.
Grew up watching the cartoon episodes my brothers recorded on VHS and just started reading the comics a couple months ago. I loved this movie. It was packed with over the top action. The group I watched it with didn't like it but this was their first time experiencing GI Joe anything. I loved how it was not a story about the origins of the Joes, instead it was like the Joes exist and have this awesome technology and so do the bad guys who have yet to be named. It was awesome, I am going to go see it again.
This was a really funny movie. It is a chick flick but it is not as bad as many many of the others. This one is actually fun to watch, and all the actors/actresses did a great job. Watch it with someone.
It was a period piece, the action was short and sweet. It followed both Christian Bale and Johhny Depp equally, and it was good. Can't think of another movie to compare it to off the top of my head but it went at a decent pace. There were a couple parts that made the audience laugh/frown at the police. I would not recommend if wanting an action movie but for a life story/period piece movie.
