I went into the movie knowing that there was probably some huge changes from the way the book was and I was right. Thats the way it goes though when a book becomes a film. Even with all the things added and missing from the book it was amazing! Some of the quirky little saying I do wish they would have kept. I definately recommend it!!!! Go see it people!!! i think i'm going to go tonight again!

I had never read the books goiing into this movie. I went with some friends that were fans. I was in a daze for the rest of the day after seeing this movie. I got off work 15 minutes early just to get to the book store in time to buy the book so that I could start reading it and had half of it finished that night.

Was choppy and rushed, important things were left out, scenes were mushed together, unneccessary things were added. Items that become very important in the next movies were left out, and most of the acting was not good.
This was a movie marketed to teens looking for eye-candy and it lived up to that. But lost all the integrity of the book.

I went into the theater with very low expectations of this movie. My friends went to the midnight showing and told me that the movie did not adhere to the book at all. By the end of the two hours that I was in the movie theater watching Twilight, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, in my opinion, the adaptation of Twilight was exceptional. Although I would have been happier if the specific quotations from the book happened in the places where they were supposed to, I felt that the overall product was satisfactory. I can't wait for New Moon!

I HAD NOOOOOO EXPECTATIONS AT ALL ABOUT THIS MOVIE...WE LOOKED AT THE LINE OF PPL AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. BUT THIS WAS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN. I saw this movie with my 13 year old daughter and her friend. We have all read the books and we all loved the movie. I thought it was great fun and it stuck to the book pretty well. I liked that the director was able to keep the story tongue-in-cheek in many places. I actually liked the characters better in the movie than I did in the books. Be prepared to hear the young girls scream for Edward (and Jacob), but to me that added to the fun!

My friends and I thought it was amazing! Read the book first and then see the movie! Loved the movie! See it with friends! Really followed the book which was what I'd hoped. Exciting scenes in the woods, thrilling hunt scenes full of threat and anticipation, and tons of romance. Great chemistry between Bella and Edward makes you feel what they feel for each other. Magical scenery. We're going to get it on DVD when it comes out and watch it a thousand times!. Can't wait to see the New Moon movie!

i have been in love with the twilight series ever since i finished the first book. i went through real emotional stuff while reading this book it was like another world that i badly needed to be a part of but anyways after seeing this as a real movie i thought it was not going to be a fourth as good. but holy moly it was damn good! even though they didnt follow the book as perfectly, it was a damn good movie. robert pattinson as edward cullen was perfect and he did such a phenomenal job on that! it was crazy, i couldnt believe my eyes, i got all crazy psycho for twilight all over again!

I enjoyed the movie as much as my 19 year old daughter. The only disapointment was how Alice and Jasper were not involved in the film as much as they were in the book. Otherwise the movie followed the book very well. I hope the film makers continue to producer the next three books keeping Robert Pattison as Edward Cullen, he did a great job.

If you haven't read the book, I highly suggest you read it before seeing this movie. The story line will make a lot more sense with the substance of the book behind it. That being said you don't HAVE to read it to enjoy the movie, you just might need a friend to fill in some of the holes. The movie was great and visually outstanding...I would definitely see it again!

Normally books way surpass the movie, and if you've read the book, the movie disappoints. However, Twilight was just as good as the book and I liked Bella in it more, because she seemed more independent and strong. I can't wait for the next movie to come out.

I have never read the books, but decided to see the film to see what all the hype was about. I found myself completely enthralled with Edwards obsession with Bella. I left the film thinking about it for the rest of the night.
I found the film to have just the right combination of love, story line, mystery, and action. The casting seemed perfect, especially Robert Pattinson as Edward. He was an incredibly believable vampire!
I am not a swooning teenager,....... Im almost 30, but I can easily see why young girls would suddenly want to be bitten by this dreamboat!!!
I am definately going to buy the books this weekend!!

It was good, but there were parts that I wasn't loving but all in all it was good. I did love the part where Bella was being told about the Cullens. Jasper, Emmet, and Jacob were my favorite characters so I was a little worried about how the actors would be them but they all and all did a good job. And It was fun but it you haven't read the books you might not want to see the movie. Its a little confusing but you might be able to get it.

I was one of the fans that sat in the cold at midnight waiting to see this movie. Sadly,I was disappointed. I was expecting to see a movie that was similar to the book with a vampire and girl who fall helplessly in love. I was waiting the entire two hours for this movie to reel me in so that I could feel the reckless abandon of two souls (okay maybe one) who can't live without one another. Instead, I felt like I was watching a bunch of choppy scenes on a Washington state Discovery Channel special. Oh, and it felt like the show was created in 1972 right after Escape From Witch Mountain. Way to ruin it, Summit!

I thought the was great. It didn't go into that much detail and was kinda on average compared to the book. But I loved IT! because I read the book. It had me laughing because I knew the background from the book. My boyfriend didnt' much so like it if i hadn't told him about edward. But I love it and want to see it again.

I went in the theatre expecting to be disappointed, but I wasn't. While the movie does omit certain things from the book, I think it was done nicely, overall. I would go see it again. The actors do great job, even though most of them weren't what I envisioned while reading the books. I hope they make the sequels soon, before the characters age too much!

The movie had some pretty funny moments in it - Edward's reaction to Bella's "scent" and Rosalie's response to a situation. The movie could have had more character development and better special effects. I was a bit disappointed in the 'meadow scene' , it was really down-played in the movie. The casting was pretty good. Kristen Stewart was right on as Bella and Robert Pattinson did a good job as Edward. Overall, the movie was pretty good, not as good as the books, but that might be an impossible task.

I went with my two daughters and their friends, we have all read the book anfd the movie was true to the book. The best part about about it was hearing all those teenage girls giggle when Edward finally kissed Bella. They must have been holding their breath since the movie began for that moment!

I believe it could have much better, many of the parts did not embody the book as it should have. There are alot of parts skipped that were skipped and they changed other parts.
It would have been a good movie if you didn't have the book to relate to. There were many humourous parts that I didn't expect to see but it made it very entertaining.
Kirsten Stewart made for an amazing Bella, but some of the other actors/characters were a dissapointment. Some of the "vampire" parts were a bit cheesy. It was a bit of a dissapointment but it was okay overall.

The movie was very entertaining, had a lot of funny moments. I think both Rob and Kristen did an awesome job playing Edward and Bella. Of course they left out many parts that were in the book but it would be impossible to fit it all in the time span of a movie. Overall, great movie- I will watch it again- it was great to see all of the characters come to life!!!

It wasn't as good as the book but it was very close. There was some stuff in the book that i was sad to see didn't make it on the film but that tends to happen when books go to movies. Still though the movie turned out great, I will watch it numerous times and I can't wait for the rest of the books to come to film. I loved this movie and I hope they continue with the saga.

Wow!! I have to say, I only really went to see how bad of a job they did with the book. In my opinion, some books are just better left alone. When I sat down to watch it, I had no expectations. I was expecting it to be terrible. I was pleasantly surprised! Aside from the fact that there were some parts that could have been done better and there were parts that were added, the jerky movements and the hand-held camera effect worked very well. One must remember that the book is written from her point of view, so there was that element that was reinforced by the jerkiness of the camera movements. Sure, it was not as good as the book. But, it was funny and quite intriguing.

Right off the bat, I have to say, if I had never read the book, I would have enjoyed the movie more. I was dissapointed by the heavy condensing of the story, leaving out I thought to be crucial details, dumbing down Bella's classmates, taking away the depth of almost all the characters, even Edward and Bella. maybe I expected too much. The actors themselves talked about a "spark" between the leads, I felt that did not translate on the screen, I felt that so much more reading the book, the sensual tension, the emotions were absent in the movie. I'm sorry to say I am dissapointed in this film, I wanted so much for it to be everything the book gave to me.

I never read the books so my view was fresh. The story was slow. The acting wasn't great, although the script which I understand follows the book, was awful, so these actors didn't have a lot to work with. If I was watching it on cable, I would have turned the channel 5 minutes in. Little character development outside the main few. The person I was with read all the books more than once and found it slow. People in the theater were laughing quite a bit, which I think was not the desire of the filmmakers. This film is good for those who worship this book series, I suppose, but not for too many others. I don't want to read the books after seeing this.
