I enjoyed the movie, but then again I have read and love all four books from the Twilight series.
I think the movie did leave out and/or change a lot of things from the book version, so I think watching Twighlight if you've never read the book may be a less than satisfying movie going experience.
It might be a little hard to follow and understand as it seems to jump from scene to seen out of the book, skipping parts of the book that would explain why things are happening.

Having read the book first, I was a little hesitant to see the movie because generally the movie is never as good as the book in my opinion. Well, this one was! I thought the characters were cast so well and it actually followed the book rather closely. The whole group I was with loved it and can't wait for the second. Very well done.

Its was a very good mivie. some of the special effects were aa little fake but they were still good. edward was verry hot=] i also like all of the character,especially the cullen family. i Did not like James, but who would. i really liked the movie

The movie was great however it was not as wonderful as the book but you have to expect that with Movies. I am excited to see the next movie. I love Edward and Bella and just can't wait until this comes out on DVD!!

I loved this movie. I have never read the book and even heard of it til now. I took my daughter to see it and the lead guy--Edward--is HOT! he will be the next Brad Pitt. There is something about his persona that draws you in and you wish that you were in Bella's shoes. I will most certainly go and see this movie again and own it when it comes out. If you like vampire movies, with a Romeo and Juliet twist, this movie is exactly what you need to see!

i took my 71 year old mother and she loved it my 13 year old neice loved it.All ages love it was very sexy and cool love story.you could feel the energy between the actor.it made you feel as if you were there and part of the group. recomend planning to see again and buy the sound track i am 50 year old and 71 year old mom and 13 year old liked it also.go see movie and you will be counting the days till nest one comes out. allstarmom06

I enjoyed the movie, don't get me wrong. Obviously the books are incomparably better! I would suggest going into the movie thinking, "Ok, this is not Twilight, this is a movie based on the book". Edward and Bella were great and so were the rest of the Cullen Clan! I love them! However, Mike, Eric, Tyler, Jessica, etc. were the worst actors I have ever seen! They were truly terrible, if anyone made the movie cheesy, it was them! If you like the books then you should definitely see the movie regardless because your favorite characters become more tangible.

I have read all four books and was anxious for the movie to come out. I think the movie did miss a lot from the book, but it was a two hour movie and they got all the important parts. I think it is a great story and really like that the vampires are not the stereotypical ones that we've always been told about. As fictional as the story is, it is the closest to being believeable. I absolutely recommend this movie because it is a very unique twist on a very old fantasy.

I, unlike my daughter, have not read any of the Twilight books, so the movie was better for me than it was for her. I enjoyed the relationship between Edward and Bella, as it seemed to be very sweet and loving. I did not care for the amount of makeup that they put on the vampires though. To me, it was not necessary. I was very upset at the way this movie ended, as I hate to be left hanging when watching something. However, I do know that there are more movies to come and I will go see them. I am also going to read all of the books as well. I enjoyed this movie very much and even someone of my age is enough of a romantic to fall in love with Edward. This will certainly be purchased for our home library and watched again and again.

I went into this film being a huge fan of the novels and little scared of being disappointed. While the film does stray from the novel at times it still tells this amazing story of impossible love. I went opening night feeling like a giddy school girl again, and left still feeling the same. When the film was over I was shocked ..... the fastest 2 hours EVER. There was still so much I was waiting to see and I wasn't ready for it to end. I decided to see it again with better clarity (not at 12 am!) and LOVED it. I was even better the second and third times around. I was able to appreciate the film separate from the novel. Very much looking forward to the remaining 3 movies.

It saddens me to know that the youth of today turns to this type of film and views it as quality in its highest. Two hours of brooding teenagers who try to make eye contact is not what I call epic filming. Additionally, I also find it a poor standard for young women that the leading lady is constantly saved by a man, and finds her only identity by staying with him in the end. For strong female role models, this film is highly lacking.

I have read the Twilight saga twice now and I am convinced that they were off the mark at several places in the movie, adding unnecessary scenes that did not advance the story and taking out more important parts. The tone of some off the scenes was completely off. I think the actors did what they could with the screenplay/script they were given. However, I would not have missed this for the world and am going to see it again. I can't wait to see if they can make the next one better!

I love the books, and for the most part was not let down. I could go on forever but overall I was very pleased with this representation of the story. It was not without its flaws, but I think Twilight fans have proven that they gave the film a little grace that's gone a long way, and were rewarded. The characters are great and the setting is amazing. Landscape panoramics and cold tones set this film up perfectly.

loved it, could have extended it another hour but what was there was true to the book. great job casting. i was a little weary of billy burke playing charlie but he did a great job. i believe it may have been a little confusing for people who hadn't read the book because we missed out on some content that was needed to put some secens together. i think when they go to do new moon they should put more content from the book in so it flows just a little bit smoother.

Twilight was definitely a GREAT movie. I'm surprised that people who had never read the book and thought it was going to be boring ended up liking it. It was sweet, romantic, and suspenseful. In my opinion, the movie made Bella too much of a central figure (although she is), however, I just felt like they could have added more screen time for the rest of the Cullens and more time showing how Bella and Edward pursue each other....BUT STILL, it was great in the end. Especially Edward *shivers* It was all worth it all! Don't wait for the dvd to watch it!

I have read the 4 Twilight series books 3 times each. As a consequence, I was dissapointed that the movie left out so much. I understand that they could't get everything in, but I wish they got a few more details in. I think they picked the perfect "Edward." Robert Pattinson did a fantastic job portraying Edward. Of course, the character makes Pattinson look amazing HOT!!
Overall, it is a good movie. I have watched it twice now. It just goes to show that the saying, "a movie is never as good as the book," is true.

As usual, anyone who likes to experience a movie that originates from a book would have to agree that the book was better. Only because of the many missing scenes that would have developed the great story further. In my opinion, the movie directors hit the nail on the head with the actors they chose to play the characters. On Bella's behalf, she was outstanding. Every conversation she had with a friend was awkward...but that's how it was in the book. I just didn't like how she always had her mouth hanging open the whole movie haha. Overall, a great movie. Midnight showing was fantastic!

I was so fascinated with the Twilight Saga that I finished all 4 books in 8 days! I anxiously anticipated the movie, trying not to get my hopes too up there, feeble attempts; because my world revolved around the date, 11.21.08, lol...I was sooo not disappointed. The cast was amazing, Oregon was perfect for a Forks sub and Edward was as beautiful as I imagined him to be! It felt rushed, but I went in with an open mind, knowing that no movie adaptation of such a phenomenal book would hit the nail right on the head, but it was amazingly close...definitely worth the wait and 50 bucks (seen it 5 times thus far :> )

My husband, daughter, and granddaughters all went to see Twilight together and thought it was an awsome movie. We've all read the books and can't wait until the next book "New Moon" comes out on the big screen. We'll go see all of the movies and buy them, too!!!
