I think they all did a great job! Alice was so adorable! And Rose so pretty! And Edward and Emmett soooooooo hot!!!!! The only things i didn't like was they made Mike Newton a little too obnoxious, and Bella and Edward's houses! Other than that it was fabulous! It felt a little weird cuz everyone that's read the book would know all the little details and stuff lol, but i think if you want to see the movie you should read the book first! *2 thumbs way up*

This movie was amazing! You should read the book before but not completely necessary. James was so scary in the movie just like the book and there is so much more that really portrayed what I pictured when I read the book.
Go see it...it's well worth it!

I know, I know some movies do not compare to the book, this was one of those that did not even come close. The acting was ok, but if I woulda coulda shoulda, I would have not spent the money on this movie. It is definately only DVD (used) worthy. My daugheter is Twilight Obsessed and she hated it too. If you didn't read the book, the movie appeared to have no plot, just a lot of romance for a teenage girl. Edward was sweet and I did like that the Collins are "good" instead of "evil".

Just like most of the other posts on here, I LOVED the movie! But I also love the books. I do agree that if you haven't read Twilight, you might walk away confused. For those of you who have read the book and not seen the movie...GO SEE IT! It was amazing! I think all the actors/actresses did a phenomenal job. Rob Pattinson is the perfect Edward, Kristen Stewart is the same Bella you picture in your head when you're reading, the scenery is beautiful, it's just a great movie. It did jump around a lot, but I definitely left wanting to see more! You won't be disappointed when you see Twilight. Especially all the scenes you're really wanting to see...like the first time Bella and Edward kiss :) Hands down 5 out of 5 stars.

I have not read the book, and I could follow along pretty well. There were some things I may not have appreciated as much if my daughter had not filled me in. The plot was good, the actors were good. It moved along slowly, but I think that helped build some of the suspense. My only problem was with the makeup. I think they could have done a much better job. The actors did not look extra pale, they looked painted white.

This movie went right along with the book and was perfect!!! The love between Bella and Edward was so freakin' intense!!!

I have read all four books multiple times and they are amazing!.....But this movie is phenomenal. Kristen Stewart portraits Bella perfectly. Robert Pattinson makes Edward even more dreamy then in the book!! I loved every part of this movie and I cant wait for the other 3 to come out. Hopefully they wont keep us waiting a long time between each movie!!! Everyone should go see this movie and read the books! you will fall in love instantly

I am a 47 year old mom who has not read any of the Twilight books and I still enjoyed the movie. Apparently there is a lot I missed since I haven't read the books but you can still enjoy it just as a movie. If you like this type of movie, this is a good one.

This movie was much better than I thought it would be. The actors did a great job,especially Rob Pattinson. You really need to read the book before seeing the movie,alot was cut out and if you haven't read the book it probably wouldn't make much sense. I sure hope they are given a much bigger budget for the sequels. My husband thought it was very good and he usually doesn't care for these type of movies.

I did not read the book and I loved the movie. My daughter, who had read the book, had to tell me why Edward was so upset when he first met Bella, but Edward explains it later in the movie so that wasn't a problem for me. I plan on seeing it again today! I loved it and now plan on reading the book to read the stuff that the movie couldn't portray!

What a great story! I didn't read the book, but my daughter did and she begged me to take her so I did. Neither of us quite understood the Harry Potter obsession even though we tried to get into it. Twilight has a good story and was exciting to watch. There were some slow spots, but they were ok because just looking at Edward was enough to keep the girls happy. I was also glad that there wasn't a sex scene because there were so many 13 year olds there and it wasn't necessary for the movie.

i absolutely looove the book and of course anyone as crazy for twilight as all the many twilighters would have high expectations... i enjoyed the movie. it has lots of awesome parts from the book and really puts a visual to places only the imagination has brought us to... the actors had big shoes to fill and am glad they did a such great job.

I never read the book and dont know much about them but i was expecting more like some awesome fight scenes. Instead i got two kids who just met each other and magicly fell in love it was kind of corny but all the little girls in the theater seem to love it so yay for them :):)

I absolutely LOVE the Twilight books, and I came to this movie knowing that there was no way that it could live up to my vision of the story as I read the book, but I was excited to see someone else's vision. In short, I was not happy with the results. The directing and editing were terrible. The story seemed choppy, and the filming looked amateur. There were some good spots with the acting, but overall acting seemed monotone. It did not inspire the feelings that the book did. I want them to continue filming the series, but this was not a satisfying beginning. I will probably see it again to make sure that I am fair in my review, but my first impression was --Yuck!

About 15 minutes into the film, I had already figured out what the movie was......a bad B rated movie. Disappointment was all through me as I am a hard core fan of the books.
The movie didn't flow together well as scenes were disjointed and the movie couldn't decide what the tone was, whether dream, fantasy, comedy or drama.
During the movie when Edward completely struggles with whether or not to attack Bella in Biology class, the audience laughed over and over again....not what you would expect considering he was a Vamp trying had not to kill.
As sad as I am to say this, and I am VERY SAD to say it, I wouldn't recommend this movie.

I really liked the movie. Of course the book is always better because you see all of the characters differently in your own head. I agree that there are things in the movie that only a previous reader would understand, but it was enjoyable even if you haven't read the books. I was disappointed that the action moved so fast, but I'm sure it is very difficult to fit a full length novel into a 2 hour movie. All in all, a must see!

Wow-we just saw it last night! The movie was great! You can enjoy it without reading the book, but you will understand so much more of the movie if you read it first! Obviously, the critics didn't read it, because if they did, they'd know that Bella is awkward and clumsy, which reflects in her acting! We can't wait for the second movie! Hurry, hurry!!!

Yes, I am thrilled with this movie and yes, you'll need to read the book before seeing if you really want to enjoy it as much as the rest of us. If you have read the book, the movie was pretty good. If you have not, you probably won't understand everything. I thought they did a good job making the book to a movie, but the book, of course, is much better. I surprised at how short it was considering the book's length. I thought the romance was skipped over a bit and the action played up to much, but I guess that is to draw the male crowd. Overall, pretty good. Again, the book is better.

I thought some places were slow, other places a little cheesy, but for a teen/tween audience it is fantastic. Bella and Edward are great. Make out scene in the bedroom was a little much, I thought, for anyone under the age of 15 or 16 (but I'm a prude). Overall the film was good.

THEY CUT SO MUCH OUT! I was so disappointed, the movie went by in 2 seconds and I just couldn't process that this was how they made it. Twilight is AMAZING, they should have gone into details like they do in Harry Potter movies. They made the trailer to look like it would be awesome, and it was just a major let down. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, I like anything Twilight, but they could have made it SO much BETTER.

On the negative side, I thought that the acting was a bit amateur-ish, the "glitter" effect was horrible, some scenes were a bit to cheesy. However, this movie is meant for teenagers so what could one possibly expect?
On the positive side, I thought the baseball scene was good. The final fight scene was decent. as I mentioned above, this movie is meant for teenagers so what could one possibly expect?

I took my 11-year-old daughter and her friend to see this ... the girls read the book in record time. I also read the book because I wasn't sure "vampire love" was age appropriate. Now, I'm hooked on the books! Read them first because I found that seeing what the characters look like in the film tainted what I thought of them (if that makes sense). The girls loved the movie, although the killing scenes were a bit graphic. The film did appear "funny," but I'm not sure that it would be to people who haven't read the book. We all giggled like we were in on an "inside joke." There were some parts that could've been better, but overall it was a great film adaptation of a great book. We can't wait to see the other books made into films!
