I did not read the book and I loved the movie. My daughter, who had read the book, had to tell me why Edward was so upset when he first met Bella, but Edward explains it later in the movie so that wasn't a problem for me. I plan on seeing it again today! I loved it and now plan on reading the book to read the stuff that the movie couldn't portray!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
