I thought this was a great movie but I agree you definately need to read the books first otherwise the movie wouldn't make much sense. It did move to fast but I'm not sure if thats because I know what happend inbetween or if thats everyones view. I also thought the filming could have been a little better.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
