OK for Tween Girls to See

I took my 11-year-old daughter and her friend to see this ... the girls read the book in record time. I also read the book because I wasn't sure "vampire love" was age appropriate. Now, I'm hooked on the books! Read them first because I found that seeing what the characters look like in the film tainted what I thought of them (if that makes sense). The girls loved the movie, although the killing scenes were a bit graphic. The film did appear "funny," but I'm not sure that it would be to people who haven't read the book. We all giggled like we were in on an "inside joke." There were some parts that could've been better, but overall it was a great film adaptation of a great book. We can't wait to see the other books made into films!
