I've come to expect a certain lack of plot when it comes to Judd Apatow movies, however I was surprised to find that this screenplay was constructed well and had a particular focus on developing the two primary characters (Segel's Peter and Bell's Sarah). The characters' flaws were not over-exaggerated and were, if nothing else, realistic and credible. After all, who doesn't know someone like Peter or Sarah, or even Rachel (sp) or Aldous? And, unlike other Apatow films, I barely noticed the parts of the film that didn't have me doubled over laughing because the plot and character development was so engaging. This is a good film, and I definitely recommend it - especially for the late-20's to early-30's set.

Really funny ro-com that follws the formula but keeps you quessing the entire time. Full forntal stuff was done about 2 too many times. However, the girl from That 70's show was a great fitfor this movie. As a whole, Apatow makes crew are turning out the best comedies. Spend the $11 it is well worh it. Can't wait for the DVD.

Overall I thought this movie was very good. I liked it enough to go see it again with the wife and that says alot for a movie. Be warned though they do show the main character naked a few times throughout the movie and they dont leave anything to the imagination when they do, so if you have young kids this is not the movie for them. The movie was funny and the audience all laughed out loud at the funny parts. They say this movie was made by the same people that did "Knocked up" and "The 40 Year Old Virgin" I did not care for either of those movies, but this one was two thumbs up from me.

Well, I heard about the movie the day before it came out. I saw the goofy billboards weeks prior and figured it was for a flick. But my wife and I sat down, and just laughed and giggled for 2 hours. I was laughing about the full-frontal crying break-up scene for 5 minutes. It also had a sweetness to the story as well. I believe that many men can relate to being this guy. You have to admit he had a pretty cool life. Good looking women, recovering in Hawaii, great job, gratuitous cereal consumption, Vampire musical (bar performance was priceless!), and the lovable rock-star anti-hero... I do not want to spoil it. Just go and see it.

Although Judd Apatow did not direct this film it has all the humor and quirkiness you'd expect from an Apatow film. Lots of laughs and lots of fun.

Such a great film - smart and well written and great acting. Only complaint is that I missed a third of the jokes because of the laughter in the theater. It's original and fresh and inventive. Go see it and laugh till your stomach hurts!

I am not an easy person to make laugh but this movie kept me in stitiches. It really is worth going to see. The warnings about nudity are well founded as there are two instances of full frontal male nudity which didn't bother me but bothered some of the guys I know. Men just are not used to seeing other men naked on screen, just women. There is lots of adult humor so this isn't really isn't for kids. I wouldn't want my 14 year old niece to see this. Just go with an open mind and a laid back attitude and you won't be disappointed.

Nicholas Stroller and Jason Segel both came to our theatre (at the grove) and took a picture of the audience before the movie started, which was a first! My family, a friend and I really enjoyed this film....many of us laughing out loud, even the gratuitous-man-nudity was hilarious. If you want to have some good belly laughs and just a fun time, this movie will hit the spot!

My girlfriend and I both really enjoyed this movie. I was very funny and sweet. The characters were all extremely developed and well rounded. Jason Segel was affable and believable. And this is the best role that Mila Kunis has had yet. Not that it was particularly meaty or anything. But, this is the best she has done with a role I think ever.
It is a little raunchy. More so than 40 year old virgin, not quite as much as Superbad. I put this one up with Knocked Up as one of the better Apatowian comedies.

I didn't expect much going in to see this movie. Besides the full frontal man nudity it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Now I have to see it when there is no crowd because usually when a big crowd is there it makes the experience much more enjoyable and therefore my review a little biased. None the less I rate my comedies on how many laughs I get from it during the entire movie and if there are no laughs at parts, than if the motivations of the characters are genuine. When I saw this movie there wasn't a scene I can remember where I didn't crack up. When there were drama sequences, simply meant to continue the story, they were genuine and heartfelt. I very much related to the main character being a more emotional guy and analyzing this movie as well as enjoying it thoroughly, it seemed very true to life. I haven't laughed this hard at any comedy that has come out in America since Arrested Development. Now I need to see "Forty-year old Virgin and Knocked up". So overall, setting: Amazing, Dialogue: Hilarious, Situations: Hilarious, Acting: Pretty Good, Man Nudity=BAD but shock value was funny at points. I love this movie and declare it (at least for myself) the comedy of the decade and I strongly recommend it.

i was really skeptical about this movie, judging by the trailer, but since it was jason segal and judd apatow i knew i needed to give it a chance. it was definitely reminiscent of knocked up, (but I think knocked up was better). It had the same combo of gross and funny/cute and unexpectedly romantic. the nudity was hilarious, and i definitely enjoyed it, as did the rest of the audience, so id recommend it!

I didn't really know what to expect going in, so I found myself pleasantly surprised. I'll agree with the first poster who mentioned that there were a couple of long stretches with no laughs. The only reason it bothered me a bit is that it exploded into moments of raucous hilarity (such as Superbad, Knocked Up, etc.), and I started to expect that to continue.
However, a darn good movie. And, yes, Mila is absolutely stunning.

I saw this movie last night, and I want to see it again today- it is that good. It is well written, well paced, well acted by all, and freaking hilarious! My boyfriend and I kept replaying jokes from the movie, because there were so many funny moments it was hard to remember them all. Jason Segel and Mila Kunis were especially lovable and hilarious, and Kristen Bell and Russell Brand were also so good that you couldn't hate them. Paul Rudd and Johah Hill, and others, also bring some great moments. I hope this movie is a big success, because it deserves it. I will be seeing it again soon. My hats off to all who were involved in the film!

This movie was just as good as I was expecting it to be!!! Lots of laughs, lots of improved jokes, and plenty of flesh.... (Guys, be forewarned that there are several uncovered sausage-shots)!! Overall, this movie flowed very well, and there weren't any lull's that would cause internal pain by making you feel like the movie was just dragging along. You couldn't ask for a better movie because the acting is superb, the jokes are truly original, and there are plenty of scenes in which most couples are able to relate to and laugh at!

This movie looked hilarious from all of the trailers but lately it seems most comedies are only good trailer-wise and once you see it you realize there was NOTHING to offer other than whats in the trailer. I tell ya, that Judd Apatow knows how to make a funny movie. I wasn't expecting this movie to be in the same level of funniness as "Knocked Up" and "Superbad", but it actually came close to those classics IMHO. Jason Segel did an exellent job in the main role, and Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis more than held their own. Seeing Kristen slightly tarnishing her "good girl" image alone makes this movie worth seeing. Just a slight warning to those who are seeing this movie for the "full frontal nudity", the majority of it is not female, lol! I recommend this movie to anyone who want a good dose of laughs, and a little bit of realness and heart.

What a wonderfully hilarious movie. Yes, it is crude and rude at times but it has such a heart that I found myself wanting more. This is definitely going in my DVD library later this year. It is definitely the best date movie I have seen in a very long time. GO SEE IT!!! RIGHT NOW!!!

While many of the funny lines were spoiled in the trailers, overall there were some great laughs. It was completely charming from beginning to end. Much like the Apatow Gang's other movies, I'm sure it will get even funnier with subsequent viewings.

This film isn't as funny as you hope, and has long stretches, but I never left for popcorn and there are several big laughs. The rock and roll boyfriend is the most memorable character. All Apatow generated films are about the same thing: slightly flabby, not massively attractive, good-hearted men can't grow up. They are with controlling, pretty, up-tight women. The women are unsympathetic. The men are like labrador retrievers. Will the men win over, get over or dump the women? This is a variation on the same theme. It's still working, but wearing thin.

My husband and I went to see this movie on opening day. Definitely not for anyone that doesn't care to see (male) full frontal nudity! With that said, we did enjoy the movie. It seemed to move slowly at first, but overall was a very enjoyable movie. We love to travel to Hawaii, and since most of the movie was filmed at the Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu, that was an added bonus for us. I would recommend the movie....and will likely watch it again when it comes out in DVD.

This movie was excellent. I was surprised at how raunchy it was... but I shouldn't have. I forgot that Judd Apatow did the 40 year old virgin and knocked up. This movie is similar... but I have to say that this is even funnier than those movies. I love it... and would deffinetly see it again.

Really, other than shock value, there was no redeeming value in showing that much skin. Aside from that, the jokes were funny but too far apart, and there was just a little too much whining. And I realize the guy wrote himself in as the star with two beautiful co-stars, but really, couldn't he have gone to the gym or gotten a little more tan or something so there is even a tiny chance we could believe these two gorgeous women are fighting over this pasty, flabby dude?

I thought the movie was pretty good. I could have done without the extended full frontal nudity. The story was plausible, I've known people like this in college. Kind of the next logical step after "Superbad".
Don't take the kids, unless you want to do a lot of explaining.
