It was the best of the batman series that I have seen! The story line was extremely well written! The acting superb! Especially Heath Ledger!!! It was, I feel an Oscar worthy performance!
He held true to the original comics version of the joker, the real psychotic one!
I am just saying this either because he has passed! He really did the role justice! Didn't even look or sound like him!!

Excellent! It started out a little slow but once it got going it never stopped! I have already told a bunch of people that I work with it was awesome! I loved Jack Nicholson at the "clowning" around Joker but Heath Ledger's performace was AMAZING!

I highly recommend the movie. Totally different from the earlier Batman movies which were on the cheezy side.
Actors were great. I only have one complaint, Maggie Gylenhal would not have been my choice to take over the part of Rachel Dawson, bad move.

The joker is just scary as hell. Aaron Eckhart plays the fallen champion of justice outstandingly. Christian Bale grows into his role as Batman in this movie more so than BB. It is just one of the greatest movies I have seen in a long time. I literally had to drag my girlfriend to the theater to see this opening weekend. She liked BB but she didn't think it was all that great. The long lines at the theater didn't help her mood either. She pretty much just went because I wanted to see it, she had no desire to see it at all. After the credits rolled she told me that this is the first time that she has left after seeing a movie and felt completely satisfied. She could not believe how good it was and neither could I. Amazing.

Even my husband who loves "boy flicks" found The Dark Knight TOO dark, too long, and too boring.
While we grew up in an age where nearly every Elementary School child watched Batman and Robin, this version is not for small kids.
The acting is the high point - pretty much cross the board for the main, male actors. Heath Ledger was amazing as the joker, but all the male leads put in stellar performances - not always matched by the women.
Plot wasn't anything special -- it could have been a compilation of a bunch of B movies with extra violence thrown in and I wouldn't have noticed.
Would I pay $11 to see it again? No way - but it is worth seeing once, especially since it's Ledger's last time on the silver screen.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Look, plain and simple, i'm usually not much all all these super hero movies, and I have to admit seeing the previews for Heath's role as Joker peeked my interest. Well i'm glad I went! This is one of the best Batmans yet, all of actors played their parts supurbly, and there is never a dull moment. You won't be disappointed and neither will all the other movie goers.

...that makes all the other Batman movies tame (and manybe lame) in comparison. Heath Ledger's Joker is by far, the best Joker to date. He had me 'uncomfortable' at times with his discription of the many reasons for the scares. Excellent movie and will not be outdone this year.

Was not sure what to expect but have to say it was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Heath Ledger was phenomanal. He deserves every award he gets. Thought that people were just talking about how great he was because he died this tragic death, but he was superb!!!!!! So sad that he is not with us anymore. Would recommend this movie to everyone. Could not even tell that it was 2 1/2 hours long. It was just great.

Heath Ledger really did a great job portraying the insanity that is the Joker in this movie. It was nice to see a movie where the "hero" doesn't have to be a "good" guy, and I liked the fact that the movie managed to still surprise viewers, even while staying close to the original Batman.

The Dark Knight will forever be associated with the untimely death of the tremendously talented Heath Ledger which is a tragedy in the face of such a marvelous film. This movie captures the heart and soul of the Batman character like none before it, and it expertly crafts the myth into a believable, yet terrifying reality. Gotham feels so real you can almost smell it, and through spot on direction, acting, effects, script, and pretty much everything else this tale rises to the top of comic/graphic novel adaptations. This is the THE film of 2008 and will be remembered for a very long time after.

This movie while not for all kids (PG-13). Is full of great action that will keep you on the edge of your seat for the full 2 & 1/2 hours. It is full of twists that most won't see coming. Overall the best movie I have seen in a long time.

I really liked this movie! it awas full of action and it has a bit of a twist at the end. Both batman and the Joker played there role as you would expect, terrific. I got scared at a few pieces in the movie but that just made it more exciting :0 )
I recommend this movie to all but not sure if your wee ones (4 and under) would be to thrilled. it can be scary for them. I am going to watch it again next weekend !!!

This is no superhero movie, but it may well be a super-villain movie. I can’t think of many films that focus as much on the bad guy as they do on the good, and in the Dark Knight it’s hard to blame them. Heath Ledger is insidiously creepy in his final performance as the joker. Although the Dark Knight is plot heavy, when it comes to examining the motivations behind the characters’ actions, the film is wonderfully complex and profound. The joker is given some of the best lines to ever be delivered in a comic book movie and Heath Ledger does not fail to capitalize. With such a deeply talented cast this needed to be a long movie because it allows time for all of the characters to shine. The Dark Knight is a haunting experience that will remain with you long after you see it and is the best live action film so far this year.

It was fun to watch but the pace was so fast it felt like for me that I might not have caught everything going on the screen. Heath Ledger does deserve the Oscar, he was superb!! Great acting by all, and it was good to see that Gary Oldman can act as a good guy too.

The best movie of the year by far. Heath Ledger gave an oscar winning performance. He made Jack Nickloson look like a wus. The action sequences were among the best i have ever seen. Go see this movie and then go see it again.

It's obvious to all who've seen it, that the Dark Knight has transcended the comic book genre. Christopher Nolan has created a masterpiece that will live on for some time, combining the Batman mythos with a taut, exciting thriller. He has managed to do what no other comic book movie so far has done, be taken seriously be everyone. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout with its exciting chase scenes and impressive fight scenes. What really shines through is the performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker, believe the hype people it is the truth. He will haunt you from the moment you lay eyes on him, having created the scariest, most sadistic villain to hit the screen in some time. The rest of the cast performs solidly, with Aaron Eckhart also standing out as DA Harvey Dent. This movie is a can't missed and should be watched by all.
