This is a movie than is accessible to everyone whether they enjoy comic book films or not. It's a long film but every moment is significant, every scene accomplishes something and it holds your attention long after you leave the movie.

Great Adaptation

For any fan of the show this movie is a must-see. It is the rare embodiment of "faithful-adaptation". For fans of foreign films, odds are you prefer subtitles and unfortunately this film has been dubbed for a more low brow audience. However, the voice actors are the same from the show so it helps you transition into the movie better. The movie is comprised of specific events from the television show, the casting was excellent and Ryuk looked excellent.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
