It's obvious to all who've seen it, that the Dark Knight has transcended the comic book genre. Christopher Nolan has created a masterpiece that will live on for some time, combining the Batman mythos with a taut, exciting thriller. He has managed to do what no other comic book movie so far has done, be taken seriously be everyone. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout with its exciting chase scenes and impressive fight scenes. What really shines through is the performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker, believe the hype people it is the truth. He will haunt you from the moment you lay eyes on him, having created the scariest, most sadistic villain to hit the screen in some time. The rest of the cast performs solidly, with Aaron Eckhart also standing out as DA Harvey Dent. This movie is a can't missed and should be watched by all.
