Great movie. Best line: "don't anyone move...or I'll kill her and then I'll kill myself". I didn't know that Tom could play 'funny', but he did a great job and was teamed with the perfect (nearly equal) story line character with Cameron Diaz. Perfect casting!
Started out alright--I can understand a young boy having problems at home--just got worse from there. Sort of light the first 10 minutes set the whole theme for the movie. My 9 year old son really didn't like the movie...
...that makes all the other Batman movies tame (and manybe lame) in comparison. Heath Ledger's Joker is by far, the best Joker to date. He had me 'uncomfortable' at times with his discription of the many reasons for the scares. Excellent movie and will not be outdone this year.
A super hero with a perfect life (or near perfect) seems to be the norm, but Hancock has some serious problems. He is just generally not in a good mood (super hero with a chip), and he likes to drink. So, his solutions for the task requiring a super hero aren't well thought out--lots of collateral damage!
So...it's a great movie! Very funny. And he does work at turning his life around...
...with a great cast. Although the plot seemed sort of familiar, there was an unique application of special effects and on screen character interaction to bring something out of the screen play. It is right on the edge for me of being a great movie.
