Heath Ledger's performance is unlike any i've ever seen in my life. It is absolutely incredible. No one could have portrayed the Joker better.
The entire movie is great. Batman's voice is real intimidating and perfect.
This is a must see.

This movie was so amazing. Far better than "Batman Begins" though that was an ok movie, but this film draws you in. Heath Ledger's performance is absolutely breathtaking - you totally believe that you are looking at a psychopath, and you just want to keep looking. There was never enough of the Joker, I looked forward to seeing him again and again. The action sequences were pretty amazing and impressive as well, and the mood is dark, so too bad for little kids, but a.o.k. for us adults.

Can we seriously break the limit of stars, this movie was ridiculously great, 10 stars or more, Holy S***! lol. Heath Ledger's Joker was bein' so hyped up, and I saw why in that movie, flawless. Christian Bale continuing to prove he was the best choice for Batman. This movie brought everything it could and more, the addition of humor, whether it was the psychotic actions of the Joker or simple phrases by characters like Morgan Freeman's character Lucious. #1 Movie of the Year. I really hope when it comes times for the Oscars, this movie is put in for every category, it's well deserved.

This follow-up to Batman Begins picks up shortly after the first film, and just as things start to look up for our heroes, things fall apart. Quickly. Explosively. Horribly.
The creators of the film ramped everything up a notch, from the gallows-humor and psychotic evil of the Joker, to the how-far-will-he-go-to-get-justice Batman. Good times.
This movie comes at you fast. If you turn away for a moment or get up to use the restroom, you probably missed something.
Make no mistake, though. This is a DARK film. Not a movie to take the kiddies to.
Overall, this sorta ties, IMO, with Iron Man for best movie of 2008. I'm a big geek, though, so I'm a bit biased.

Let me begin by saying that Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" was an excellent film that forced other comic book films to step their game up. "The Dark Knight" has set the standard so high, I don't forsee any comic films surpassing its excellence. Christian Bale has captured the essence of Batman/Bruce Wayne. I think Bob Kane would be proud. Heath Ledger is mesmerizing as the Joker. His portrayal of this classic character is one of the best performances I have seen in any genre of film in the past five years. "The Dark Knight" is Ledger's final completed film and, in my opinion, his finest role. The plot is incredible, the action sequences are mindblowing, the supporting characters are cast and played very well.......Bottom line....MOVIE OF THE YEAR....OSCAR FOR HEATH LEDGER....Nuff said

If not for the guy running around in a Bat suit, you'd think this was 'just' a really good police drama. None of the over-the-top Battyness from the previous movies and all of the suspense and action you'd expect from a summer blockbuster. Both of the main bad guys are very believable and seem to make sense from all angles, instead of some quickly pieced together backstory that really only thinly serves to place the characters in the film. Even for a 2 and a half hour long movie, you're still left wanting more.

Movie was awesome, great plot and unexpected twists. However, could have easily been shortened to 2 hours. The last half an hour of this 2.5 hour movie was not necessary and the film would have been better without it. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been so long.

"The Dark Knight" rips your eyes open even when you think it might be over. The pacing and "hand-held camera" look of this movie lets a viewer be less of a spectator and more of a wartime journalist. Christian Bale and the late Heath Ledger excel at recreating one of the most dynamic hero-villain foils in comic books. They disappear into their roles and bring out the frustration and sheer madness of being self-made larger than life individuals. The combat, chase, and interrogation scenes look and sound more like a gritty crime drama than a slick superhero movie. This that allows a viewer to watch "The Dark Knight" without the pressure of knowing the comic book history and instead focus on the immediate danger that permeates the whole movie. Fans of thrillers, action, superhero, and ensemble movies will not be disappointed. Watch "The Dark Knight" and see what it is like to live in a world where madness and idealism are not so far apart.

I'm an action film fan as well as a Batman fan, but this movie is accessible for everyone looking to be entertained! The acting was superb...Heath Ledger was fantastic as the Joker. They need to retire that character for future films because he certified that role as his. Christian Bale was fantastic as well making the Dark Knight menacing, conflicted and still the hero you want to root for. I wasn't too fond of Maggie Gyllenhaal I dont think she added any depth to the role. Aaron Eckhart was perfect for Harvey Dent he brought him to life and made him as malevolent like the comic book. The action sequences were excellent. A good balance between action scenes and good story line. Was excited throughout the whole movie, had enough twist and turns that even the most knowledgeable fan still enjoyed it thoroughly. Can't wait to see it again in IMAX

This was a great case where despite the massive hype the movie lived up to all expectations. No point is missed and the Joker himself is worth the entrance charge. The movie matches genius performance with great action and a strong narrative. Absolutely hated it. It was dark and too confusing. They also took away the vulnerability of Batman which was so good in the 1st movie. Half the time I couldnot understand Heath Ledger. Was he high during his scenes? The best part of the movie was Gary Oldman- he was great- complicated and understandable. I just hated it and didnt get it. Unlike Hancock, which i love and made sense and well developed characters and great acting.

This was a movie that exceeded the hype. Ledger gave an Oscar worthy performance. Everyone else gave excellent perfomances. The effects, the story, character development, all great. After the debacle of the Schumacher films, Nolan has jumpstarted a good franchise into LOTR territory. This isn't just a great comic book movie, this is a great movie, period.

Although the movie was long, it was a great story. There were two villians in the movie, kind of like two movies in one. I thought it would be the end of the movie at a certain point, but it continued on until the end of the story.
