This movie was so amazing. Far better than "Batman Begins" though that was an ok movie, but this film draws you in. Heath Ledger's performance is absolutely breathtaking - you totally believe that you are looking at a psychopath, and you just want to keep looking. There was never enough of the Joker, I looked forward to seeing him again and again. The action sequences were pretty amazing and impressive as well, and the mood is dark, so too bad for little kids, but a.o.k. for us adults.
This is one of the most visually stunning films I have ever seen, however, I felt the plot and meaning was very surface oriented. It didn't delve as deep as it should have. As fantastic and surreal as the visuals were, there was no symbolism or greater meaning to back up caring about this fantasy world. It was fun to watch and obviously took a lot of talent to create, but the plot deserved just as much time and effort as the visuals - and it just didn't get it obviously.
