By far the best Super Hero Movie ever. Well written script with plenty of comedy and action. Robert Downey was excellent as well. The special effects were top notch with the construction of Iron Man when Robert would suit up as Iron Man. The automation sequences were very realistic and very complex. Details sell this movie.

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Action packed from beginning to end. Great acting, amazing special effects, even the story was heartwarming. Men will love. Women will love. Military explosions were mostly without blood and guts use see in some films (so my youngest age 10 enjoyed as well) Absolutely loved it! Just go...See it in Digital format if you can. Robert Downey Jr has made his comeback!

From a Christian view this movie has a great overall story, with redeeming qualities. If they cut down on the foul language and mature imagery this movie would have been a five star all across the board.

Have seen the film with my 11 and 13 year old boys, I felt obligated to title my review with their's. It was everything one needed from a big-budget-ultra-hyped-comic-book-summer blockbuster. Lots of fun, action and a great story. It's nice to see Robert Downey Jr. come deliver a portrayal of Tony Stark brings a complexity and depth to the thrill-seeking playboy that made the movie more than anyone could have hoped. Gweneth Patrow left a little something to be desired as Pepper Potts, but then again, I've never been a big fan. And let's not forget our villain -- nasty, conniving, double-crossing Obidiah Stane (Jeff Bridges). As we see Stark transform from an irresponsible, fun junky to a hero set on saving the world, we see an equal and opposite reaction from Bridges' character. Bridges brilliantly weave's the threads of deceit and treachery into his character like a master creates a tapestry. Giving the viewer a new discovery with each passing scene. Bottom line, don't miss it. And one little spoiler, stay throught the credits.

I am one of the chosen few to have been fortunate enough to be mature (old) enough to have read Iron Man from the beginnings. He has long been one of my favorite heroes. While his character is flawed, the movie is not. It was well worth the wait. Finally writing, acting, directing and special effects brought together in just the right mix for a fun, yet believable movie adventure. Robert Downy Jr. is great as Tony Stark. He's got issues and his priorties are not what you would expect or maybe they are (think Bruce Wayne, ony smarter). Downey's off the wall style combined with Paltrow's innocent girl friday play off each other nicely. And who knew that Jeff Bridges could be such a jerk. Terrence Howard was very underutilized but effective. All in all, a great movie to satisfy the comicbook buff or anybody else

This movie has truly set the bar high for this summer box office block busters this season!!!! Robert Downey Jr. has truly done an excellent job in his role as Tony Stark. Iron Man is action packed from the very start of the movie until the end. And since I don't want to spoil it for everyone; my advice is to "stay until the credits finish rolling" theres a little bit of something extra!!!! Hummmm..... makes you wonder!

Iron Movie was awesome, he is a great actor and I'm glad that he is back....Iron Man was a great flick. From beginning to end it kept you wanting more of the movie (somewhat long) but very tasteful. Loved it ! Even though the director took much time developing the charachter and we don't actually see Iron Man till late in the movie. Ture fans of the comic book will love this movie and be impatient for a sequel. I know I am!

Long story short, this film is worth 1 dollar up-charge, worth the wait in line, and worthy of the fanfare. As one who's never seen or read anything about Iron Man in the past, this movie's made me a new Iron Man Fan.
This movie bravely (and successfully) mixes (the first) Spiderman's brilliance and Transformers' action into one credits-to-credits entertaining film.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. My cute husband, who knows a lot about comics was really impressed. I know next to nothing about comics and was dragged to see this movie and had a great time. Everyone applauded when the movie ended. There is something at the end of the credits, I didn't think it was so exciting but my husband was pleased about it.

When I first saw the reviews for this movie, I knew it would be terrible. Especially the casting of Robert Downey Jr. in the title role, not that he isn't a great actor, but action hero? After the first five minutes of the movie, I was hooked. Very nicely done and entertaining throughout the entire film. I am definitely shouting this one out to all of my friends.

This is a great movie, I would recommend it to anyone of any age. This movie has originality and a very comprehensive organization of creating a comic in to a movie. I congradulate everyone who took part in making this film, and for bringing old entertainment back to life in a modern way. Just one dissatisfaction, the ending, not so satisfied with it. Overall, Best film of summer 2008, in my opinion.

It is rare nowadays to have a movie that is worth getting a babysitter, paying through the nose for tickets, and shelling out for snacks. This movie was worth all of that - maybe 80 bucks for date night with the wife - and then some. Genuinely funny at times, and for ONCE we had an action movie where the action served to advance the plot - not subsitute for the plot. I knew 5 minutes in that I'd buy this movie when it comes out on video. Downey was perfect in this role, but the rest of the casting was perfect too. BTW, the limo driver is the director of the film, John Favreau. I left before the credits ended - oops!

What a cool movie! I usually fall asleep during the show but not this time! I just kept thinking "Wow I wish I had a life like his!" I loved his house in Malibu, his private jet, his work shop, his ability to go kick some Taliban butt at a moments notice. What else could you ask for? Oh and did I mention the Babes? I didnt think so cause the wife is laying next to me as i type this. Oh another thing, see this movie in DLP Digital. The resolution is AWESOME!

I guess Iron Man was one of Marvel Comics' more obscure super-heros; If you ask me it seems that will change now. Although somewhat predictable, this is a well written, casted, acted, and directed movie. Iron Man grabs hold of you near the beginning and doesn't let go until the very end. The film has something for everyone, it's not vulgar and can be enjoyed by children as well as seniors and everyone in between. I hope the sequel is as good. Great spring fun!

Iron Man is the tale of Tony Stark, the billionaire playboy, and weapons manufacture who is captured and set to work for the dark people he unknowingly supplied. Barely alive, he builds the one thing that will save his life. Against all odds he survives and soon takes back his life and starts defending people instead of helping kill them.
Against all odds I really loved this movie. As a comic book based movie, I figured the movie would turn out rather bad, but to my relief this movie was amazing. With amazing special effects, easy flowing comedy that fit perfectly in, tons of action and an amazing actor playing the leading role, Iron Man was a smash hit.
