well worth the money

I insisted we go as a gift to mom...for Christmas. Near the end, my 12 year old son leans over and whispers in my ear, "Mom, this was well worth all the money they spent...and the money you spent on the tickets." My husband and I walked out knowing we would recommend "Avatar" to all our friends and family. "Avatar" is a wonderful movie with dramatic effects that were to say the least...believable. You are absolutely immersed in their world.

Its always difficult to find a fun movie that will entertain my ten year old. I am so tired of cartoons. This movie was wonderful. The effects made us both jump and the story is heartwarming. The story could stand alone even without the effects. The monsters are scary, but not too scary. It costs a little more, but thats because of the glasses. Well worth the cost if you have kids that need an adventure.

Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Action packed from beginning to end. Great acting, amazing special effects, even the story was heartwarming. Men will love. Women will love. Military explosions were mostly without blood and guts use see in some films (so my youngest age 10 enjoyed as well) Absolutely loved it! Just go...See it in Digital format if you can. Robert Downey Jr has made his comeback!

This movie will open eyes

My husband and I have over fifty years service between us. Both retired, we have served in several wars and conflicts over the years. I personally have had friends stop lossed (Desert Shield). This movie shows the inner struggles a soldier and their family must endure. There is some fiction, but there is some fact. If you have a military background, keep an open mind. See it for entertainment value. For civilians, let it demonstrate how hard it is to be a patriot nowadays.

Fun for the whole family

My husband and I went with our kids, ages 10 and 22. It was an adventure that we all thoroughly enjoyed. Sometimes its difficult to find movies nowadays that are heartwarming, yet with enough action to keep the interest of boys Nim's age. This movie does. With the island, the volcano, and the "Buccaneer", this does. My son liked the cool way her father constructed new boats to repair his damaged sailboat and he loved their island home.
