Well worth the wait.

I am one of the chosen few to have been fortunate enough to be mature (old) enough to have read Iron Man from the beginnings. He has long been one of my favorite heroes. While his character is flawed, the movie is not. It was well worth the wait. Finally writing, acting, directing and special effects brought together in just the right mix for a fun, yet believable movie adventure. Robert Downy Jr. is great as Tony Stark. He's got issues and his priorties are not what you would expect or maybe they are (think Bruce Wayne, ony smarter). Downey's off the wall style combined with Paltrow's innocent girl friday play off each other nicely. And who knew that Jeff Bridges could be such a jerk. Terrence Howard was very underutilized but effective. All in all, a great movie to satisfy the comicbook buff or anybody else
Yes, I recommend this movie.
