Seldomly does a movie that is released in the fall live up to the hype that it is doled out by the Hollywood marketing machine. This movie not only lives up to the Trailer marketing tactics, but takes the story in a totally unexpected direction. Exiting, entertaining, fast, with a real message that dosen't align itself with one political party or another. This film will have you thinking long after the credits roll. Shia LaBeouf is on his way to a real adult acting career. I look foreward to watching him evolve into the great actor that resides within. This role lets that mature, serious actor peak through on several occasions. Go see it! Enjoy!
I loved this movie. If you have the capability to suspend disbelief, and believe that people can have special powers, and that thier can be secret societies that operate outside the knowledge of regular society and government. You will love it too.
I liked where it started, I liked where it ended. I liked the Iron Man/Avengers tie in. True comic fans will notice the birth of another gamma born villan!
I am sorry to say that this was my least favorite of an M. Night Shyamalan film. This film had none of the punch and discussion inspiring power of his previous films. The premise is laughable, and the delivery was like a prolonged root canal. Good effort and performance from all actors, but the character development that was laid out in the beginning went nowhere by the end of the film. The only thing I am thankfull for is that this film is only 91 min long.
