This was a really cute movie, as all of the Shrek movies have been. My six year old loved it and I enjoyed it as well. Nice ending to the inventive Shrek series.

Shrek's diversion into a darker alternate universe left me a little cold. There were some chuckles, and my mind was able to slip into fantasy throughout bits of the movie, but overall Shrek Forever After did not capture the same enthralling comedic overtures of it's predecessors.

Entertaining. But how was it that Rumplestiltskin got the role of bad guy? Loved Pinocchio and Gingerbreadman's roles. Liked that Fiona played the role of leader. Good role modeling for girls.

The movie was alittle hyped up.But it was very meaningful true to the final chapter.It teaches about chioces , their consequence and learning to appreciate what you have in your life. I'll be honest, when Shrek 4 was advertised I wasn't jazzed up about seeing it. I loved Shrek 1 and 2, however, Shrek 3 was a huge disappointment. My kids (early twenties) talked me in attending this movie with them and to say it knocked my socks off is an understatement. It was terribly funny, had a great story and fabulous ending. It made me sad that this is the last Shrek we will see. All the characters I loved were back in top form and I laughed out loud throughout the movie. I would heartily recommend this to all who loved Shrek 1 and 2. You will not be disappointed that you went to see this!

The movie was entertaining but as with all sequels we felt it failed to deliver the overall punch of the first two. Parts of it dragged on and we noticed neglect to tie together family history in what is supposed to be the final chapter. All in all it passed the time on a Saturday night but we will recommend to friends to wait for the DVD>

I am an avid Shrek fan and I have seen all of the features in theaters on their opening day. The critics and previews hyped the movie up so much that it landed nowhere near where my expectation level was. The story was only ok and the movie seemed as if it were made for 3D only...with an additional ticket price of about $5 to see it in 3D, my recession conscious family and I had no choice but experience the movie in 2D so that is one of the great features of the film that we didn't get the opportunity to experience. Perhaps the experience would have been better in 3D but overall my moviegoing experience with this film was definitely average.

"Shrek Forever After" was funny and somewhat heart warming, but ultimately just a bit of fluff. "The Final Chapter" tagline is a little misleading, because nothing of major importance happens, or gets resolved, in this movie. Plus, if you saw the 3rd one, Rumpelstiltskin is completely different from the sullen character we saw in the bar scene in "Shrek the 3rd". Why couldn't they just use the same character? Merchandising, that's why. Like I said, it is definitely funny....but it just seems like they were trying to cash in with this one.

My husband and I just saw Shrek Forever After. I literally almost cried during this movie. It was so sweet, the real love story of Shrek & Fiona. It really was great, probably the second best movie, after the first one. It's more emotionally intense, but still very funny. Really well done and a perfect ending to the Shrek saga.

This was a very good movie w/a wonderful, easy to grasp lesson about appreciating how good you really have it in life. Having watched all of the movies, this was the best way to end the series. I liked how the moral was you don't know what you have when you loose it and you have to try to re-build and make it work.

Very good movie, not only for kids but adults too. As always it has great animation, but the story line and action are good as well, a must see if you have children!
