I am an avid Shrek fan and I have seen all of the features in theaters on their opening day. The critics and previews hyped the movie up so much that it landed nowhere near where my expectation level was. The story was only ok and the movie seemed as if it were made for 3D only...with an additional ticket price of about $5 to see it in 3D, my recession conscious family and I had no choice but experience the movie in 2D so that is one of the great features of the film that we didn't get the opportunity to experience. Perhaps the experience would have been better in 3D but overall my moviegoing experience with this film was definitely average.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
