This was a very good movie w/a wonderful, easy to grasp lesson about appreciating how good you really have it in life. The old "don't know what you've got until it is gone" adage is spelled out clearly. My seven-year-old was able to easily understand and appreciate what Shrek discovered for himself. Well done!
Christopher Nolan has again succeeded in capturing the true essence of Batman from the comics. The original series were decent, but not nearly dark enough to accurately caputre the personal turmoil that the comics created for the Dark Knight. Once again, Christian Bale plays the role of the reluctant hero very well, but Heath Ledger steals the show. Ledger's eerie Joker is excellent and in ways outdoes his outstanding work from Brokeback Mountain. The plot works well and Nolan sets the stage again for more Batman movies to come. It is just sad to know that we'll never get to see Ledger's Joker again.
