The special effects and CGI were tremedous, a thrilling ride into the future. Most of the characters were well developed, but a bit sterotypical for a few. The leads were great and, of course, Sigourney Weaver adds her unique pizazz to the mix. Very unique details that add to the mystery of The People and their culture. Again well thought out and developed. Thanks for the fun adventure.

Mom, Dad and 3rd grader enjoyed this movie. Although it was long, the time flew by. We didn't want to miss a second. The picture was visually stunning. The action sequences were thrilling. My daughter said at the end of the movie that she hoped there would be another Avatar movie!

I was originally thinking this movie was going to be ehhh...OK at best. I was wrong. Great movie, I enjoyed it. Some gripe about the length but I was kept entertained throughout that it didn't feel too long to me. Very few slow scenes to lose attention on. Continuous action kept the movie flowing. I definitely recommend seeing it in 3D but I would have been entertained just fine in regular format. The 3D was just great extra !

WOW, I've seen many 3d movies, and none have captured me like this has... i went with my 14 year old son, and he was just as spell bound through it. I didn't think 2:40 minutes was long enough! Not being a sci-fi person, I was pleasantly surprised at the storyline offered by Avatar. Sure, some of it was over-the-top at times, but you are going in knowing that it is Sci-fi. The love story that was threaded into this movie was right up my alley, but the real treat was the 3D effect. Amazing. Beautiful. I would go back just for the wonderfully surreal feeling of being in the rainforest of the Avatar. I caught myself reaching out several times to try to capture the sparkling creatures and life forms that were floating just out of my reach! Action, romance, and really great atmosphere. Treat yourself!

3D and sci-fi/hi-tech effects great but story tired combo of "natives" vs. "cowboys", good guys vs. bad guys, boy meets girl and sees the light, and science/anthropology vs. corporate/military. A chase scene is a chase scene is a chase scene. Nothing new here.

My 4 children an wife love it, so do I. Actually we saw it twice. Story, special effects grabbed our attention during the 240 minutes. I am the one who always fall asleep but not this time.

This movie was so well made. Even though it was 2hr.40min. you would never know that you sat there that long. There is not one moment that goes by in the movie that makes you feel as though your tired of it. We loved it.
