A visual treat!

I haven't been to a sci-fi nor a 3-D movie in ages, yet thoroughly enjoyed Avatar. The visual effects were stunning, and with its many compeling storylines and deeper allegories, both I and my college-age daughter were spell- bound.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was a cute, somewhat predictable, light movie. I was among the older folks in the theater, along with my wife and a friend. On the whole, I think it made women seem desperate for a man- a bit of an insult to women, and all men seem like emotional dolts (with one exception). The funniest part was when many of the young women in the theatre actually swooned at Ben Afleck near the end. If you're an older viewer, you'll enjoy it if your expectations aren't too high.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
