First let me say what an awesome IMAX 3-D experience! I have been hooked on IMAX 3-D since Avatar and can not imagine paying to see a "regular" movie again. I actually quit going to the movies except for the occasional "must see" and then IMAX 3-D changed it all. Now for the Alice in Wonderland part... I was not sure what to expect, but thought it would be a re-making of the original with some modern day modifications... was I surprised! The movie is a sequel to the original and absolutely wonderful! The 3-D effects are so plentiful it is like you are in the movie the entire time. The plot is great... sort of reminded me of The Never-ending Story. Absolutely a MUST see!!

This movie did not disappoint, with outstanding visual effects and eye-popping colors. Even Lewis Carroll purists should enjoy Burton's take on the old story. While it departed from the innocent whimsy of the original Wonderland stories, it remained true to the vision of absurdity contained in the original books and the Disney cartoon.

It was very creative but I would never watch it again when it comes out on DVD. The end dance theme was horrible and I thought that they should have left it out. The makeup and visual effects were really good and Helena Bonham totally stole the show. Johnny Depp is alaways my favorite actor but I thought in this one he sounded and acted just like Jack Sparrow in Pirates.

Seeing this in IMAX 3D was sensational! Not just a few 3D effects, but it was 3D throughout, almost like watching a live stage play. Though all the actors/characters are very good, Helena Bonham Carter steals this movie and the Queen of Hearts. Costumes, cinematography, make-up, acting were all first-rate.

The plot was much more cohesive than the original movie to which it is a sequel. It felt a little "Narnia goes 3D."
The 3D graphics were not to the level of Avatar and they used the "dive at the camera" far too much for dramatic effect - not a good idea for a non-horror flick. Unlike Avatar you can see the 3D distance layers like a stage set which reduced the believability of the graphics.
Mia Wasikowska could be easily mistaken for Gwyneth Paltrow in both looks and acting - not sure how I feel about that. Still, she did a good job putting some life in the staid Alice. And of course nobody plays an insane misunderstood loon better than Depp.
Overall it was fun but a bit forgettable.

It was amazing, entertaining, colorful and a great storyline. Johnny was GREAT as the Mad Hatter. I'm not a big fan of Tim Burton's work but I do have to say this is one story I enjoyed watching as did my grandchildren!!!

Another fine example of how having an unlimited budget will pretty much ruin anything that could have been special about a film.. The last two Burton flicks were lame, and i'm sorry, but we're all getting a bit bored of Depp and your angry wife playing the same boring ying/yang stereotypical adversaries... This film overindulges in areas where it's just obvious excess. Yea, i saw Avatar too.. but for some reason, i got more 'into' that tale, and the tech worked (the bad acting did not). Lets return to real movie sets and good scripting!!! Ugghhh

Johnny Depp was superb! As was the Cheshire cat! The story line was belieable, as a follow-on with Alice returning to Wonderland. One thing that was a bit annoying was the White Queen's exaggerated arm waving, seemed like an overactive Italian Valley girl socialite.

Having read the book at a young age, I am happy to see that Tim Burton's interpretation brought the creepy back! Visually delightful, wonderfully acted, and never boring, this movie was well worth paying the extra to see it in IMAX 3D. And kudos to Danny Elfman for another great score!

I really loved this movie! The characters were really quirky and interesting. Everyone was sorta "mad"; not just the Hatter and it was just endlessly amusing! the graphics on this movie were incredible. I can't even believe how good it was. The story was good, but not great. I'd give it a 7 out of 10, it was better than Avatar for sure in terms of story, but unfortunately wasn't an awesome story.

I had some pros and cons about Alice. The 3D effects and special effects were great. The story was too involved in "good vs evil" and that theme has been used once too many times. There is most likely no way to change on the way it was written. Overall, I really liked it and Johnny Depp was outstanding.

Great visuals, but why mess with a good story? It would have been better, IMHO, to stick with the original storyline a bit more, and make a sequel to cover Through the Looking Glass. Also, maybe should have had a better warning about content for parents of very young kids. Too many assumed it would be okay for the under 10's because it's a fairy tale.

Tim Burton has done it again! A wonderful twist with lots of surprises on a classic tale. Johnny Depp delivers a terrific version of the Mad Hatter. The rest of the cast clearly shines throughout this exciting take of Through The Looking Glass. Fantastic, lots of fun, definitely worth seeing in the theatre. Love It! Imax in 3D the only way to go with this movie. We had great seats and thought the scenes were very good. Johnny Depp was awsome as always. We will probably go back and see this one again.

This was a very fascinating story that veered away from the tale provided by Disney in its animated version. I have never ready "Through the Looking Glass" but now I have added to my list of books to read because the story portrayed on screen was very enveloping to me in the audience.
Visually, Alice in Wonderland was stunning. The character eccentricities were quite amazing. Anyone and everyone should see this movie on the big screen in its 3D format before you can't.

We saw it in 3-D IMAX. The 3-D was not that great. I felt my mind drifting and my eyelids getting heavy.

Absolutely a phenomenal IMAX 3D experience. Remarkable job by Johnny Depp once again. Yet, there was no underperformer in this movie. What an amazing treat to those who love the original!
