Another fine example of how having an unlimited budget will pretty much ruin anything that could have been special about a film.. The last two Burton flicks were lame, and i'm sorry, but we're all getting a bit bored of Depp and your angry wife playing the same boring ying/yang stereotypical adversaries...
This film overindulges in areas where it's just obvious excess. Yea, i saw Avatar too.. but for some reason, i got more 'into' that tale, and the tech worked (the bad acting did not). Lets return to real movie sets and good scripting!!! Ugghhh

I initially had pretty low expectations going in, but ended up being totally blown away. The 'message' was sincere and relevant, my only complaint being the corny acting by a few main characters.. (Stupid MARINES one liners) I wished they'd spent some of that 500 million $ budget to secure some better actors. Oh well.. the special effects made up for it.. Might be a little too intense for younger kids.. the IMAX 3D is a must... A+!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
