My 5 year old daughter and I made a plan in October to come see this. We are both huge Tim Burton fans, I call her my creepy kid. I thought the wait and build up would diminish the impact of this movie but I was wrong. The effects were tremendous and I personally love the Red Queen. Unlike other special effect blockbusters that have ome out recently this one was eye and brain candy.

I've actually seen the Alice in Wonderland Cartoon when I was little but eversince I've watched that, I got scared of it so I never wanna watch it again unlike other disney classic movies. Then, when we saw the trailer of this 3D movie version with real actors & actresses, my husband told me that he wanted to see it with our 3 yr old son, so, we watch it... After seeing this movie, I actually appreciated it and understood more than the cartoon version. It's pretty good... They did a great job making a 3D version of it.

We really liked the movie, it was an enjoyable expierence and less like a sequel. I don't think kids under 7 or so would understand the plot of the movie but they will like all the detail and characters. It's a great movie if you are an Alice in Wonderland fan.

The coming attractions drew me in but the movie was a disappointment. Although there were many beautiful things to look at, the 3D seemed dark and unclear. There weren't enough 3D effects to make it worth wearing the glasses. The characters had their moments, but the story was slow. My 14 & 16 year old were bored with the movie.

Movie was well thought out, nicely done. Ann Hathaway was well out of her norm on this one. The hype about 3D tho was a bit much. Johhny Depp going from Mad Hatter to Jack Sparrow in and out, in and out was a stretch, even for him. Made seem more like he had multiple personalities than being Mad. I would recommend this movie but leave the kids under 10 home. They just won't get it and should experience the original first ! Also 3D is ot necessary.

I really did enjoy this movie. All the actors were great, the animation and effects were great. The plot was well constructed. Johnny Depp was really good (not quite Jack Sparrow good, but still), and Helena Bonham Carter stole the show.
However, it didn't quite click for me.
This is a really fun movie, and should be great for all but maybe the youngest kids, but I didn't find the 3D worth the extra $3. If you have the chance, go see it, but see it at a matinee.

This was a beatifully made movie! Johnny Depp was excellent as always. The film was very true to the original story while keeping the Disney cartoon classic version accurate. A very good story- ma lot to portray in 2 hours! I recommend it to all ages as the adventure is fitting for all. A great escape into Wonderland I would happily see it again in the theatre

Time well spent! Fascinating, fabulous, FUN. I felt like a kid again with the graphics....the cat, the catepiller, mice, rabits, hats, guardsmen. Extrordinary! The QUEEN stole the show away from Johnny Depp, but just barely. I will look for other movies with her in it. As far as Johnny goes, he's a phenominal character actor with this being no exception. He covers every range of emotion colorfully vivid, emotionally, tenderly, comically. But - so does the Queen! We will see who wins the Oscar! We saw this in 3D. The only way it could be better is at the 3D IMAX!

I found this film to be an enormous let-down. Other than the stunning visuals, there is not much to recommend. I rarely laughed or was frightened or experienced much of an emotion of any kind as a result of this movie. The story was disjointed and had more Johnny Depp than was really needed to move along what storyline there was. If I hadn't seen it in 3-D, I might have fallen asleep. Feel free to give this a miss and re-watch Nightmare Before Christmas or Beetle Juice. Your time will be better spent.

I thought it was a very stimulating movie all around. I brought my 5 yr old and 2.5 yr old. They weren't any more frightened that watching Snow White or Enchanted. They really enjoyed it. Major downside - paying full price for a kid's ticket and the 3-D glasses are adult sized, and oversized adult size at that. So they didn't even use them b/c they wouldn't stay on their head.

i thought the story line was great and loved the darkness of the Tim Burton film, although I was expecting darker, but it was fine the way it was. it was fantastic that my whole family loved. It was whimsical, exciting, funny, and it was a great-looking sequel to the original animated movie and the original book. With the 3-D, you were literally in this whole new Wonderland where the imagination was wilder than probably anyone's. To me, this is the next best thing. This movie was good. I saw it in 3D, but I got a far left seat in the front so the effects weren't what I wanted. The story line didn't really flow as well as I wanted it to. This movie was awesome! Worth every moment of your time and money. You will enjoy it as much as your children. Jonny Depp is at his best!
