Movie was well thought out, nicely done. Ann Hathaway was well out of her norm on this one. The hype about 3D tho was a bit much. Johhny Depp going from Mad Hatter to Jack Sparrow in and out, in and out was a stretch, even for him. Made seem more like he had multiple personalities than being Mad.
I would recommend this movie but leave the kids under 10 home. They just won't get it and should experience the original first ! Also 3D is ot necessary.

I took my daughter and her friend who are avid anime and manga fans!!! They, along with a sold out theater full of other fans, raved about the movie for hours afterward.
I personally loved the effects and how they brought what was originally a comic to life.
The theater was very interactive and full of wonderful, equally appreciative fans.
If moms or dads have to bring their children because of the rating be prepared for alot of screaming when Light and L show up. Just a polite warning.
I would go see it again, the subtitles were in Japanese, not my specialty, but the English dubbing was right on time and on target.
