I found this film to be an enormous let-down. Other than the stunning visuals, there is not much to recommend. I rarely laughed or was frightened or experienced much of an emotion of any kind as a result of this movie. The story was disjointed and had more Johnny Depp than was really needed to move along what storyline there was. If I hadn't seen it in 3-D, I might have fallen asleep. Feel free to give this a miss and re-watch Nightmare Before Christmas or Beetle Juice. Your time will be better spent.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
