The racing scenes and the animation were great. My 2 girls, age 6 & 4 were bored almost immediately. They were scared of the bad guys (b/c they killed 1 of the good guys) and b/c they had guns and tried to kill the good guys. Story line and plot was for older kids and adults - not young kids. I asked my 6 yr old today what her favorite part was and she said "Leaving." I'm not kidding! LOL They both agreed that they did not like the bad guys and were scared to go to bed that night. Not a bad movie, but just more for older kids and adults. I also noticed this scene at the end where it looked like they forgot to upgrade the animation - did anyone else notice? The girl spy's eyes through the window from the bad guy's point of view - they looked like a much lower quality of anime than the rest. Interesting.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I thought it was a very stimulating movie all around. I brought my 5 yr old and 2.5 yr old. They weren't any more frightened that watching Snow White or Enchanted. They really enjoyed it. Major downside - paying full price for a kid's ticket and the 3-D glasses are adult sized, and oversized adult size at that. So they didn't even use them b/c they wouldn't stay on their head.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It is the best movie I've seen so far. Beyond beautiful and seemless with everything. Loved the story line - so many different ways to relate that everyone can feel they have some understanding and empathy. I so wish this was a real place and that our own bodies had their abilities! Just breathtaking. We saw it in 3D at our local theater b/c IMAX was sold out - you really felt so into the movie that I almost didn't notice the 3D after about 20 mins. I dreamt of being an Avatar the night after we watched the movie, and wish I could dream that every night. My hats off to you James Cameron - best movie I've ever seen and a favorite for the rest of my life.
