This movie had gut-busting, hilarious lines and scenes. The first two-thirds were an enjoyable romp, with the humorous juxtaposition of the restrained agent/fan and Russell Brand's over-the-top rock star. But then the movie tried to careen into depth and character development and it felt like the train went off the track. Sean Combs is utterly and surprisingly hilarious. All in all, it was a funny film, and I'd recommend seeing it - but it won't be an Apatow classic.

This is a very funny movie! Particularly if you have a bit of your mind in the gutter. It is not going to win an Oscar but it is worth seeing! It is even worth seeing in a Theater. Hubbie & I laughed our *ss's off. I would recommend this for a first or any date because it certainly breaks the ice.

I have never been a Russell Brand fan, but let me say that I am now! And Diddy was great in character. Jonah Hill executed the role of hand holding PR / marketing record label guy perfectly, indulging every whim. This is a spin off based on a character from "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". So go rent that dvd now before seeing this! Like that one its directed by Nicolas Stoller with Judd Apatow producing. That should give you an idea of what's in store.
Russell Brand reprises the roll of the wild rock star Aldous Snow to hilarious effect in a movie no child should ever be allowed to see. Sick and wrong only begin to give an insight into his role here. But he does it well and makes him into a sympathetic celeb in need of a real friend, in this case played by Jonah Hill as the innocent producer sent to escort the star to a concert. Sean Puffy Combs plays his no prisoners taken record company boss who will compel him to do anything and everything in order to get him to that concert. Starting with an appearance on the Today Show, we soon see that these two unlikely guys are actually bonding as they try to individually and collectively work through the problems in their own personal lives.
At time hilarious, and at others sentimental. Some good funny rock numbers. Watch for Jeffrey and the fur and Sean Combs floating head!!!!!!

Had it's ups-and-downs, some of the music was hysterical! By far it was a pretty funny flick and the jabs at the movie industry were classic. Some scenes could have been left entirely out and no one would have been the wiser, but they're there so sit through them. Russell Brand as the last true rock star was classic!

For all the crudeness, and there is much of it, there are just as many sweet and poignant moments as well. The music is surprisingly great and there are many funny moments. Brand and Hill have great chemistry and watching them work together is part of what makes this movie so fantastic. The rock and roll highlights of each main city the pair visits is also a treat for anybody that loves rock and/or that has been to the cities. It's a great comedy for the older people in the family who don't feel like Shrek.

As a long time rock and roll fan and a former music industry employee - I related to this movie in a big way. How many favorite old bands/artists have hit their peak and faded only to make an attempt at a big comeback? And how many times has someone had to say 'yes sir' to a boss that had no clue? This movie takes all the ups and some of the downs of rock and roll and turns it into a three day romp between London, NYC, Vegas and LA. Aaron is the wide eyed rock and roll fan who has landed a job in the industry. At an employee meeting he is completely surprised when his boss hands him a dream assignment to escort one of his R&R idols safely from his flat in London to a hugely promoted comeback show at the Greek Theater in LA. Piece of cake! Only it's not. The idol, Aldous Snow, the lead singer of a band who has seen it's better days, has a mind and agenda of his own. His schedule is that there is no schedule. Aldous leads Aaron from one party to the next, from one city to the next. His only predictability is that he will be unpredictable. Aaron is subjected to sex and drugs and rock and roll. His eyes are opened to the side of the business most people only hear about. By the time he finally gets his charge to LA the stars in Aaron's eyes have faded and he has had enough of the lifestyle he thought he wanted. Lots of great laughs, lots of raunchy language and sex - this one is a must see for fans of rock and roll. A few serious sides as relationships are seen thru different eyes and changes occur - but for the most part it is a fun roller coaster ride full of uncomfortably funny predicaments. Not for the faint of heart - but a must for fans of bands!

The first half of 'Get Him to the Greek' is five star. It's full of clever lines, perfectly delivered. Very funny. The second half is not as good. Not get up and leave bad, but brings the overall rating down to a four. Jonah Hill is funny in his usual way, but what surprised me was how good Russel Brand was in his part. There is a lot of bad language, but for some reason it isn't that offensive in this context. A movie surprisingly worth seeing.

More crude than I expected (which was a lot) but still very funny! Only a couple of parts went to the place of so uncomfortable it wasn't funny, but overall a very good movie. Note, if you're a prude, this movie's not for you.

Judd Apatow is always great at scripting real life conversations and reactions to situations, the problem is, I expected to laugh a lot like I always do when I watch one of his movies, unfortunately the film is very realistic in depicting a lost, down & out rock star due to failed album sales and drug and alcohol abuse so although there are some good laughs, plenty of the film was serious and depressing, so instead of leaving the film with a smile on my face, even though there was a happy ending, i felt drained and depressed, and disappointed.

More than pleasantly surprised was this fifty-something baby boomer. It was very funny and well done. The director had a very good touch for mixing humor with sentimentality, plus great music that made the rocker come across as real.
Jonah and Russell were terrific. Great cast!

Enjoyed the dirty humor and the actors performances. Liked that oneof the charachters spun off from the Sarah Marshall movie. After the funny I really enjoyed that this movie it gave me something to think about.
