Good action movie. Lots of Predator time within the movie. Expanded the story line so we would know about the predator structure. I liked this movie. It made me jump and scream many times! Loved it! Adrien Brody surprised the crap ouot of me! Did not think he could do a tough guy justice but he did and his muscles were awesome!

Wish I would have waited to rent this movie. Was not worth the $34 my two brothers and I paid to see it. Most of the crowd complained as they exited the theater after the movie.

After seeing the trailer, I pretty much knew what the movie was about. There were no real surprises. I did however enjoy the movie. Plenty of action without gore overload and good characters.

It's a fun way to kill an afternoon at the movies, and there is some cool stuff in there...but it needed something more. It's set on an alien planet, so in the wake of "Avatar", I wanted MORE creatures (I was pleased, however, to see a cameo by the original prototype creature for the Pretador). I wanted MORE screen time for the fabulously ugly Danny Trejo, and I'm fed up with movies where he is killed off so quickly. "Predators" , for being a Robert Rodriguez-produced project, sadly keeps up that tradition. Thirdly, no one utters the franchise's signature catchphrase, "You are one ugly [mickeyfickey]!", which is the "Yippie-ki-yay, [mickeyfickey]!" of this franchise.(Incidentally the original "Predator" and "Die Hard" were both directed by John McTiernan).
The main problem with the story, is that all the protagonists are hardcore killers. That's why they're placed on this alien game preserve planet. So we have unsympathetic characters confined to a locale in which their sole purpose is to be bumped off by these hunters. Not a whole lotta suspense there...the deaths can be phoned in. All the suspense of shooting deer from a blind, or fish in a barrel.
I would have set "Predator 3" in Iraq or Afghanistan (Heat and conflict draws the Predators), so at least some heroic characters could be caught up in the killing spree. It would be a huge epic sequel ON EARTH that raises the game from the first two films.
Still..."Predators" is probably a much better time at the movies than that chick-bait film with Zac Efron in it.

Effects were ok to a point, story line was a little weak and it seemed that the writers tried to make light of the plot with the jokes. Gave little to no info about the predator that we did not already know. Movie was just a (lets make a Predator movie to make some money). Not much thought went into the plot and set effects. No mention or anything to Alien. But it was a movie about the Predator so I'll have to give that up. If you are going to see this and are expecting something like P 1 or P 2 or even AVP don't go, waste of time and money. It was a little better than the poor attempt of Alien requiem which never should have been produced. The only thing that was possible new was you were made aware of a class structure on the Predator home world and an on going civil war between the upper class and lower class.

This movie is quite boring and pointless. Every plot twist is obvious and can be seen a mile away, sometimes from the very beginning of the movie. The dialog reads like a bad fanfic, and half of the lines can be foreseen by anyone. I could have written better dialog than that! And that's not saying much.
Even movie scenes are obvious. You can tell who is a bad guy from the very beginning. You even can tell how most of them will die immediately after their introduction. And of course you know who will live and who will die.
So basically it is an extremely boring cliche ridden excuse for a movie. Even the special effects aren't that good - at best they are mediocre.
About the only thing that can be said about this movie is that it is better than AVP2. Barely.

Great movie. I was actually into the plot and was anxious to see how it would end. In recent Predator movies, the plot was a little crazy, the acting was moderate, and I found myself looking forward to the next scene that actually HAD a Predator in it more than I cared how the plot developed. This plot was actually something new and fresh as far as the hunter/hunted setup. My only complaint is that Robert Rodriuez and Nimrod Antal tried a little too hard to pay homage to the first Predator. (do we really need a minigun in every Preadator movie?) I don't think they needed to do it at all, as it would have been strong enough on its own merit. Those scenes came off a little corny to me. Overall though, this is certainly the best Predator movie since Arnie's back in the day; the Predator has never looked better.

Remember the 1987 "Predator" starring Arnold Schwarzengger and Carl Weathers? Well fast forward to 2010 and this version is a reboot of the classic Robert Rodriquez produced film only "The Predators" are doing the hunting and this film shows you that humans can be their own worst enemy. Set on the Predator's home planet, 8 humans are literally "dropped in". They quickly find out that this is not earth and they need to figure out how to survive. "Predators" starts off great, it's fast paced, suspenseful, will keep you on the edge of your seat and definitely awake. The dialog is good, there is even some funny parts and there are definitely a few surprises...but the ending is sort of out there. If you were a fan of the 1987 version, then the 2010 version is definitely worth a look.

I am not usually a fan of movies of this genre and went only because my husband dragged me. But I was surprised to find myself enjoying it. There were some good jokes and suspenseful scenes. I was not looking for anything cerebral, and its not a bad way to spend 2 hours in the a/c in a heatwave! I know that the acting could have been a lot worse than some of the other movies out now. The only thing i had an issue with is that the characters of color got killed first. Being someone of color myself, its nice to see representation on screen, but if its only synthetic, it makes you question whether Hollywood has any regard for America's true demographics. (And don't tell me they let the Latin American girl live! It was only because they wanted some semblance of sexual tension to keep the male viewers happy.)
SO if you want to escape from the heat and not see a bad film, Predators is it.

This is a case where the coming attractions was definitely showing the best parts of the movie. I dont know what the producers were smoking by having Adrien Brody play a tough guy. It really didnt fly and since it starts off with him acting the tough guy, I already lost interest. The rest of the movie really didnt do it for me...I felt they were trying to hard to improve on the original. Why fix whats not broken. To make a long story short, about 45 minutes inti the movie I was getting antsy to walk out but was determined to stick it out. Dont waste your money on this. See something else.

The movie was action packed, I truly enjoyed it. I am looking forward to more cohesiveness with the "regular" predators and humans joining forces to defeat the "other" predators. Give us more suspense and drama, this movie will hit the charts.

I went to watch this movie just like every other Predator movie... for pure amusement. It was great. People getting killed, stuff blowing up, and sweet guns being used. I anxiously await another Predator movie coming out. I would eventually like to see a deeper story line of how they originated. Or maybe some type of war or something going on on the Predators planet. Maybe a bloodline war or something.

I went despite the fact the past movies in the predator line were horrible. I thought with the special effects possible that this would at least keep me visually entertained. This was not the case. It is just an average movie with nothing special about it. I have no desire to watch this ever again. Just say no, its worth the dollar on redbox but thats about it.

As a big fan of the predator movies, I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this one. There is definitely action, some twists and turns, and then some things that just didn't jive. It felt like it had no beginning and no end. I liked the cast. Adrian Brody was just OK, but he did buff up for the role.

i thought it was a good movie because it seems no matter what you do your chances of getting off the planet is low. i also liked that there were 2 different kinds of Predators. it was a very good movie and had some funny parts in it too.

If you're even the slightest bit a fan of the Predator franchise, I'd definitely recommend going to see the latest installment...
Though there were definitely some parts that could have been 'tweaked' or 'thought through' more carefully by the directors (e.g., the ending...but, so I don't spoil it for anyone, that's all I'll say), my friends and I all left the theatre thoroughly entertained and, overall, impressed by the entire movie (e.g., the cast was VERY well-assembled and many of the cast members gave some rather impressive performances, the action sequences are awesome, there are a couple interesting 'twists & turns' during the film, and so on). . Finally, Adrien Brody gets MAD PROPS for his performance in the movie; it is VERY impressive. I mean, seriously, at first glance, Brody probably doesn't strike you as the hero/warrior/bad ___ type, but he--without question--pulls the roll off with pinpoint precision and it's fun to watch

in the first 2 there was some what a story, in this one there is no story, how they got there etc. no new weapons, i think they really rushed thru this movie, this movie prolly end up at the dollar cinema soon....

Good movie to go see. Exciting thru most of the movie. slow in the start but still kept me interested. never bored and enjoyed the characters.Predators were awesome but not as powerful as i would have imagined.
