The real horror in this movie was that it was done in 3D. Folks, if you want to see a shark movie stick with the original JAWS. This was the ultimate crap on the big screen. What a waste of money!!!
The only reason I gave it ONE star was because I wouldnt be able to close out this window. It deserves no stars.
I really had no intentions of seeing this movie figuring its been done before but being on vacation and it rained, my husband and I figured lets go see it. The worst that would happen is we would fall asleep. WRONG!!! We laughed so much and found it so amusing just about all the way through. I would not only see it again but purchase it when its out on DVD. BTW...my husband doesnt usually like these kind of movies. Its not macho enough. He sure did like this one though.
Be afraid of the amount of money you will trhrow away if you go to see this movie. I knew going in it was a goof on the real deal but this was the worst. Ten minutes in I wanted to leave but since I went with others I felt it would be rude to abandon them. Turns out they wanted to leave too but didnt want to insult me. The only funny ( and I say this with hesitation) was what was shown in the trailers/commercials on TV. Dont waste your money people. Go bowling nstead.
This is a case where the coming attractions was definitely showing the best parts of the movie. I dont know what the producers were smoking by having Adrien Brody play a tough guy. It really didnt fly and since it starts off with him acting the tough guy, I already lost interest. The rest of the movie really didnt do it for me...I felt they were trying to hard to improve on the original. Why fix whats not broken. To make a long story short, about 45 minutes inti the movie I was getting antsy to walk out but was determined to stick it out. Dont waste your money on this. See something else.
I didnt read the books and wasnt really going to see any of the Twilight movies but one day while flipping channels I saw where Twilight was about to begin so I decided to watch it and see what the big rave was. I wasnt too thrilled with the first one and almost changed channels a few times. By the time it ended I was curious enough to see what the second one was about. Now I saw the third one...very much the best of the three.
I wish I could give this movie more than 5 stars. Incredibly funny and serious. Janet Jackson was sensational. This movie had so many twists and turns. I dont remember the last time I enjoyed a movie. Tyler Perry outdid himself. I wouldnt mind seeing this one again. I would suggest to see the first one "Why did I get married" before seeing this movie though so it can be even that more meaninful..
The chemistry between Gerard and Jennifer was great. Movie had its funny moments. Held my interest right from the start. Gerard Butler is such a hottie. Woof! LOL
Just to hear that Sandra Bullock was in this movie was enough reason for me to see it. Then I heard it was based on a true story. Another reason to see the movie. I was not disappointed. Very inspiring. Good to know there are still good people around especially now with all the maniacs you come across while shopping for the holidays.
Jim Carrey was fantastic. The 3D graphics were incredible. There was a scene where Scrooge is flying around the city with one of the ghosts. My stomach actually got a little queezy. It really felt like I was flying with him. I wouldnt recommend this for little children though. There are some parts too dark and scary for them. I heard some of the older children laughing out loud during some of the scenes but it was the adults you heard making more sounds from.
I love these kind of movies. I went with my 26 yr old daughter and really enjoyed it. Although there were children in the audience, it was the adults you heard laughing out loud ( us included). Any adult who wouldnt mind seeing this movie without children, I would only recommend it if the kid in you is still alive. Otherwise, anyone bringing their child I would'nt recommend it for small children. It would be over their heads.
