This movie was INCREDIBLE!!! Ive heard the story before but to see it play it in movie form was simply inspirational. The TRUE love that was depicted should move everyone to do what they can to touch the lives of our youth. This story proves that ANYTHING is possible. Two thumbs up!

Fantastic movie! I went with girlfriends and now I can't wait to go with my husband and daughters. I'm waiting for the Ravens next game so I can watch Oher play. The Ravens and Colts game was on when I left for the movies.Wish I would've known it was him!

This is a movie you could see over and over again. What an inspiration this family is to us all and the NFL. Can't wait to watch the Ravens play to cheer Michael and i am not a Raven fan...I hope hollywood continues to make movies of this quality.

Sandra Bullock did a pretty good acting job but her standing up to the gang members in the hood required you to suspend reality to believe. Tim McGraw was really weak and his part was insignificant. I don't know who played SJ but his acting was a little over the top, especially when he was teaching about football. That part was a total farce.
Also a meaningless jab at George Bush when they were in a government office but that just reminds you of the liberal slant of people making movies.
"Loosely" based on fact just like every other movie that is supposedly based on fact. but it was entertaining and that's why we go to movies.

I went in knowing very little from the movie, but I came away with alot. I'm not a big football fan and did not know the story of Michael Oher and this movie chronicled his story perfectly. Though rough in some places the story was very enthralling and the acting top notch by all involved. The touch of using real schools and their coaches at the time was a nice touch and added to the authenticy of the film. I don't know about Oscar talk, but Sandra Bullock was perfect in her role and has really come into her own as an actor. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

Absolutely wonderful movie. My 14 year old son picked this move and my mother and I went along not sure what to expect. We all LOVED it! 3 generations all highly moved. Excellent acting, excellent story, excellent message. Best movie any of us had seen in a long time!

I absolutely loved this movie. It had a powerful message, an absence of profanity (thank God!), and perfect actors/actresses for each part. I smiled; I laughed; I got angry (at the NCAA interviewer); I shed a few tears. I have recommended this movie to a number of people, including my five sisters, two of whom rarely go to the movies. All in all it was most refreshing. How great it was to see a movie about the special people and beautiful stories that are out there for a change. Maybe the success of this movie will demonstrate to movie makers that good, bright, beautiful, intelligent, etc. sells as well as violent, bad, dark, profane. . . maybe even better. Thanks.

This was an excellent movie about a true story. Compelling, compassionate and very funny with a very powerful message about helping others. Really great story. Coincidentally, the day after I saw the movie, I saw the real Michael Orr whom the story is about; playing football for the Baltimore Ravens on CBS. The Ravens drafted him this year 2009.

Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw were fantastic together. Their relationship seemed very believable and they meshed very well. The entire cast was so outstanding that I was sad to see the movie end. I saw this with my fourteen year old son and we both enjoyed the movie and will see it again and probably buy the DVD. I do hope this movie see's some Oscar nominations for acting and directing.

Wow, what a wonderful and strong message this movie has for us. Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Quinton Aaron were great. I would highly recommend this movie to even the hardest of hearts -- might soften them a little. But most of all, I would highly recommend that anyone see this movie and learn what an impact we can have on those less fortunate. What a great way to start the Holiday Season. If I could have rated this movie with 6 or more stars I would have, and to think that I was a true story.

This is a must see for the whole family. Sanda Bullock is terrific and the rest of the cast gives the movie just the right touch. Everyone around me from 12-15 yr old girls to young and men stayed in their seats to watch through the end photos (a must) prolonging their enjoyment of the film. Go see it for yourself!

"The Blind Side" is an inspiring movie that renews faith in the good in the world, and also makes you a little sad that there isn't more of it. It was given 5 stars not just by me, but by my boyfriend (who is usually not a fan of drama) and my 12-year-old son --- there are many messages in the movie that can reach so many people. Looking forward to seeing it again --- and I have only felt that way about two movies before in my life!
