Sandra Bullock did a pretty good acting job but her standing up to the gang members in the hood required you to suspend reality to believe. Tim McGraw was really weak and his part was insignificant. I don't know who played SJ but his acting was a little over the top, especially when he was teaching about football. That part was a total farce.
Also a meaningless jab at George Bush when they were in a government office but that just reminds you of the liberal slant of people making movies.
"Loosely" based on fact just like every other movie that is supposedly based on fact. but it was entertaining and that's why we go to movies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really don't like most concert movies but this one was a really great behind the scenes look at one of the greatest performers of all time. It would have been a fantastic concert.
This was a very good movie and typical of Quentin Tarantino with the trademark use of chapters and graphic violence. Not as good as Kill Bill 1 & 2 but well worth seeing none the less.
