This was primarily a movie to entertain. It was cute, funny, and very enjoyable. It wasn't intense or action-packed, but it was fun. I always enjoy Reese Witherspoon. Paul Rudd is so consistently good in everything that he does. I always see his movies. Owen Wilson is getting tiring to watch. Seems like he plays the same type of character in every movie. It is time for him to move on and try something new. I would recommend this movie to anyone wanting just to be entertained.
The only reason I didn't give this movie five stars was that it was a little slow in a couple of spots. Otherwise, it was a really good movie. Gwyneth Paltrow did a good job both acting and singing, but Garrett Hedlund was amazing. I even liked the singing of Leighton Meester, but her acting was great. I was disappointed that Tim McGraw didn't sing, and I didn't like his character, but he did a reasonably good job. I would recommend this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it and might even see it again.
This movie was really good for adults, but the violence and animal death were too graphic for children. It is rated PG13, but that might even be a stretch. Otherwise, it was probably better than the original movie even though Jeff Bridges said that it wasn't based on that movie, but rather on the book. He did such a good job that it was hard at times to understand him, but that was the character and not his fault. Hailee Steinfeld was great. She did a wonderful job with this character. We will be seeing a lot more of her I'm sure. I would highly recommend this movie to adults.
This wasn't the best movie I have seen in a while, but it was still entertaining. The chemistry between Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler was interesting. The story moved a little slow at times, but it eventually got to the point and was both funny and entertaining overall. Not great cinema, but still worth the twilight ticket price.
I really liked this movie, and was pleased with the ending. Those of you who weren't happy with the ending need to use a little imagination. Of course they got together in the end.
The message regarding autism was an important one everyone not touched by it needs to hear, too. But, of course, there are those people who don't want to hear it and won't listen no matter what. Movies aren't just to be entertaining. They can be thought provoking, too.
It is unfortunate that killings like those in this movie occur everyday in our society -- making it all too believable and real. It was scary while not being over the top, and included enough drama to be interesting most of the time. But, at other times it seemed a little slow. I was only disappointed that the father didn't cause the demise of the killer, legally of course. But, in the end he did get his due reward. I really enjoyed the movie especially because the actual murder was left to your imagination.
Wow, what a wonderful and strong message this movie has for us. Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Quinton Aaron were great. I would highly recommend this movie to even the hardest of hearts -- might soften them a little. But most of all, I would highly recommend that anyone see this movie and learn what an impact we can have on those less fortunate. What a great way to start the Holiday Season. If I could have rated this movie with 6 or more stars I would have, and to think that I was a true story.
My husband and I took our grandchildren and four of their friends to see this movie. They all really liked it a lot, and three of them even ordered either spaghetti with meatballs or pizza with meatballs for dinner afterward. They talked about the movie for quite a while. Not only was it entertaining, it had a very good message. It was funny, kept their attention, and my husband and I even liked it. It made us both laugh numerous times. I would highly recommend it for families, but disagree that teens would enjoy it.
This movie was wonderful, but you must remember that it is based on fact and is not one of those present day action, scifi or unrealistic flicks. If you want to be entertained with lots of action and computerized fluff you won't like it. It is REAL.
While I would have liked to see more about her "behind the scenes" involvement and less of her "double" love life, I still really enjoyed this movie, but of course, I love history and real life stories.
