Leann states in the movie that she's the one being changed by Michael being in her life, not him. How? I didn't see any change in how she's lived her life. Her husband makes it clear that she's always been chartitable and gets her way. We get very little of what Michael thinks of all of this, until he tells the NCAA that HE wants to go to Ole Miss because that's where his family has always gone. Bullock does a fine job of downplaying her usual cuteness as this is a more serious role, which she handled quite well.

Sandra Bullard James just went to the top of my list of actresses. Great movie. It teaches that prejudice is wrong and that loving others is great. I didn't care about the Christian BS because you don't need religion to be a good person. I would recommend this movie to anyone. Jim W.

This movie hits all the marks, Quinton Aaron was outstanding. Sandra Bullock was very convincing as Leigh Anne Tuohy, As was Tim McGraw as Sean Tuohy Sr. .The child actor who played SJ was very quick witted . If I were a voter this movie would have my votes in many Oscar categories. I will certainly buy it when it comes out on DVD

This is your basic feel-good movie that hits it's mark. The acting was good, the story is warm and entertaining, and throwing in the fact that it is based on truth makes it even better. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

I'm so tired of movies like Inglorious Basterds and the Saw franchise that glorify violence. Things got bad when Hollywood started promoting movies where the GOOD guys were inflicting the violence.
It's no surprise, then, that this movie really hit the mark. It's upbeat, meaningful and full of great performances.
No wonder it grossed over $200 million so far.
Hollywood, take note -- America wants to see more movies like these.

This movie is based on true events. Michael Oher grew up black in the Memphis projects, son on a drug-abusing mother. A chance meeting brought him to the attention of the Touhy family and its force-of-nature mother Leign Anne, played by Sandra Bullock. This well-to-do white woman and her family took Michael under wing and nursed him through high school and on to a football scholarship. The story is full of touching moments and also humorous moments. A feel-good movie that many can enjoy.

Husband, 2 teen sons and I went to this movie. They were not excited about it, but were laughing through most of it. One son said it is starting slow, but quickly was laughing. The story is great. They did a good job with it. The four of us were thoroughly pleased with the entire thing. From my viewpoint, Tim McGraw made it even better. I did not know he was a star until the beginning of the movie.

Great movie. Very inspirational. Sandra Bullock did a fabulous job. Heard that they offered the role to Julia Roberts and I think that would have been disastrous.
The young man that played the part of Michael was incredible and really liked the young man that played SJ.
