Leann states in the movie that she's the one being changed by Michael being in her life, not him. How? I didn't see any change in how she's lived her life. Her husband makes it clear that she's always been chartitable and gets her way. We get very little of what Michael thinks of all of this, until he tells the NCAA that HE wants to go to Ole Miss because that's where his family has always gone. Bullock does a fine job of downplaying her usual cuteness as this is a more serious role, which she handled quite well.
Movie was stunning to look at, but hearse/horse scene was unnecessary; taking one away from the story. Too many fly overs; it made us dizzy. I looked at some of the original Dickens drawings and the spirits were well captured by the animators.
