This is one of my 11 year olds favorite all time movies. A sports movie with plenty of real emotions without being sappy. Great characters and fun!

Too far from book

My son who read the series was VERY disappointed in how it deviated from the book. I did not read the book so it was fine for me.
Some scary graphics may be tough for children under 8.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
