I wish they stayed in NYC & further developed the stories they merely glossed over in this movie. New York was always such a great character in the series and the first movie -- I missed it. In the Abu Dhabi scenes, it was offensive to all smart, sophisticated, 50-something women for Samantha to be so out of control in her public displays of sexuality in the face of a culture where that behavior is unacceptable. And, while the other characters tried to get her to be more modest, they themselves wore clothing that would have probably been also considered unacceptable in that culture, which made no sense as well. Why do this? There were some really nice moments in the movie that involved conversations amongst the women, there were just too few of them.

yes things were over the top and you can always pick something apart, but my sister in law and i just loved it. it seemed all fluff at first but there were several serious messages underneath if you looked. the clothes were amazing, the locations awesome and the characters who they were. in other words it was sex in the city. the relationship, friendship, and love between these four friends is as strong as it was in the series which is what got my attention to begin with. the other stuff is just frosting on the cake. you can like it, love it, hate it, but it it did in my opinion delivery.

Good Movie and watching it with a bunch of your girlfriends makes it better. The fashion was different, but great to look at. The scenery was awesome. As for the acting and dialogue, it was pretty much classic S & TC except for Samantha who has been dumbed down to nothing more than a tramp. She is a high powered Exec and the writers have her blowing probably one of the biggest business opportunities of her life just for a little s.e.x. Carrie was a class act, even with her Aiden scenes. And the truth talk that Miranda and a Charlotte had was supurb. Grab your Gal Pals and go see it.

I absolutely LOVED the first movie and had very high expectations...it was horrible!!! The best part of this movie was meeting w/girlfriends before the movie, for Happy Hour! It was ridiculous!!! Liked the movie alot. Thought some of the fashion was a bit dissappointing. Why would you pick a location where there are restrictions with the wardrobe such as Abu Dabi? You can't show your legs, etc. so that put a limit on the fashion. And some of the outfits were completely off the charts. Again, I liked the movie overall, had a decent plotline, moved along well (didn't seem too long even though it was 2-1/2 hours,)

I definitely liked this movie better than the first installment, mostly because of the lack of drama. Obsessing about Big leaving Carrie at the altar and adultery was replaced w/ over the top decadence and luxury. In these poor economic times it was nice to see a country featured that was wealthy and booming. I think that there wasn't a build up of excitement with this movie as there was with the first one. I also liked the "back in the day" sequence in the beginning of SATC 2. It was really cute!

I was so incredibly disappointed with this movie. This movie should be called "And the Abu Dhabi" due to its lack of sex and city. And what was the plot?
a. cheat on your husband and get a (blue) diamond b. relationships of all sorts require space c. Abu Dhabi is up and coming d. Abu Dhabi isn't up and coming with its double standards and sexism e. 1. Abu Dhabi is over a 100 degrees every day and women wear designer fashions under hijabs e. 2. There are plenty of hijab wearing women who are content and happy to keep their bodies covered. That part of the movie in some ways made a mockery of the custom.
The movie was incredibly farfetched and had many pointless story lines that didn't go anywhere. Nothing about this movie was cohesive. Random meet scene in the 80’s followed by a wedding and the atrocity performance of Liza, then the non sex and non city 2 hour catastrophe. (a 2.5 hour movie based on New York extravaganzas and they spent about half hour in the city!!) How did their luggage make it on the plane?
I am rolling my eyes. After hearing so many horrendous reviews, I entered the theatre with no expectations. It was just as bad as the reviews.

I really liked this movie. Was it as good as the first one? Maybe not, there were some long and silly sort of scenes but if you are a fan of the series and the girls then you will enjoy this movie. It is funny and it is timely and it is Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda at their best/worst and you still want to be part of their crowd. I am a huge fan of the Sex and the City Series. I was very disappointed with this film. All of the girls, except Samantha were entirely out of character. The movie would have been fine, if the girls wouldn’t have made a trip to Abu-Dhabi. Those scenes didn’t make any sense throughout the film. It didn’t tie anything together. Carrie accidentally runs into Aiden while he’s purchasing magic carpets? Why can’t he purchase that somewhere closer to the US? I would never tell someone NOT to see it, but I would say it’s not as good as the 1st film.

I have recommended to my friends to wait for the DVD!! I absolutley LOVED the first one but was very very disappointed in this one!! It was unnecessarily long and not you did not get emotionally involved like in the first one!!

In a single word, Greatness! This sequel was funny, funny, funny. I know most of you out there watch the shows and the movies and know exactly which of your friends is each of these girls. We all have one in each of our groups, that is what makes this movie so great. And, if you don't have a group of friends like these girls, you know you wish you did! Go see this movie; you would not have wasted your time!!

I am a DIE-HARD fan. I was so upset when I left the theater. If I had Michael Patrick King's phone number, I would've rang him up and gave him a good cussin! This movie had NOTHING to do with the series. NYC is the heart of SATC and to have more than half of the movie revolve around the middle east and their hatred for all things sex and women was a slap in the face of New York and the women who love this show. Where was the continuing story line of Smith Jared? Where was the "we might have a baby" story line of Carrie and Big? That was the tag-line in the trailer... "Caught between sex and a baby." The only plausible story line was Charlotte's struggle with being the perfect mother. I was so sad when this was over. I couldn't believe they thought this was a good way to go.
