I am a huge fan of the Sex and the City Series. I was very disappointed with this film. All of the girls, except Samantha were entirely out of character. The movie would have been fine, if the girls wouldn’t have made a trip to Abu-Dhabi. Those scenes didn’t make any sense throughout the film. It didn’t tie anything together. Carrie accidentally runs into Aiden while he’s purchasing magic carpets? Why can’t he purchase that somewhere closer to the US? I would never tell someone NOT to see it, but I would say it’s not as good as the 1st film. 
Yes, I recommend this movie.
