Aw come on Jay, men cry, don't we? LOL Hey, this was a great movie. As a man that has a son, I can't imagine what it's like for a father to lose one, but just the thought of it is enough to bring tears to my eyes. I loved the Walter character, and what he brought to the movie. Jennifer Aniston is her usual charming self, and Martin Sheen was great. It's not a romantic comedy, so don't expect it. But if you like seeing a serious topic and people dealing with it, in addition to a nice love story, you'll like this movie.

This movie was fairly predictable~~and until I read some other reviews (after I'd seen it), I didn't realize how much of a downer it really was. I was glad there wasn't any just jumping in bed in it. (That's a change!!) But Eckhart doesn't do it for me & Aniston doesn't seem like the right match for him. Do like her though. The best parts of the movie were the great location scenes of Seattle. Otherwise, I was checking my watch.

The chick sitting next to me, (not my date) cried the whole movie. I wanted to take her by the hand and tell her to put her head in my lap. My date liked this movie because there was no intercourse in it. (Coming from a woman, I guess that's to be expected). I think a little intercourse would have spiced this up a bit. At least someone would have been happy. Overall, not a bad movie -- I mean, if you like to see men crying. From where do they find all these guys that cry? Come to think of it, I don't think a single woman cried in this movie! What in the world is that all about????

I thought this was going to be standard chick-flick fare when my wife suggested it, but it turned out to be much deeper than that. Both leads (Eckhart & Anniston) were great matches for these roles, and played their parts very well. Add in some gut-busting scenes (plus 1 lady in front of us infected the whole theater with her giggles afterward) and you had a great movie to see with someone you care about. Very nice, $ well spent.

I was a little disappointed in this one. I was looking for a romantic comedy... but there was a lot of drama instead. Not enough of either comedy or drama. The acting was good and the story was also good so I guess I'll say that the movie was GOOD(not great). I would recommend renting or watching on cable but would not recommend that someone pay the theatre price for this one.

Good movie overall; clearly not a romantic-comedy, but more of a drama-love story -- meaning there is a more serious side to the story than the usual cheapened -- and over-played, "love" story. This film is nicely written and acted out: Mr. Sheen was an added bonus. Maybe more of a rental than paying the prices at theaters, though. No complaints; my date and I enjoyed it.

"Love Happens" is about a therapist named Dr. Burke Ryan (Eckhart) who gets his patients to openly confront their pain, but he secretly does not take his own advice. Some of the scenes are at times ackward and disjointed. There is pain, sadness and at times real joy in the movie, but mostly the movie drags. I was expecting a real romance between Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart, all I got was a mild flirtation. "Love Happens" isn't bad, it just isn't as good as it should be.

I had seen the trailer for this movie and thought it was going to be a romantic comedy. I didn't expect it to be such a heart touching drama about death and loved ones. The actors did a great job with their characters and the way they related to each other would have made me give this movie 4 or 5 stars. But the movie never grabbed me the way I had hoped and left me feeling almost depressed when I left. The movie never came full circle for me.

This movie surprised me with it's poignant portrayal of grief. I shed a few tears but also laughed quite a bit throughout the movie. Jen Aniston was wonderful as a caring love interest who supports Aaron Eckart's character with genuine sympathy and concern. I was also surprised by Martin Sheen's moving role as Aaron's father-in-law. The few scenes he was in were priceless. Kudos to all!

This movie wasnt really inventive in anyway but had all the qualities necessary to make an entertaining movie. One thing I did notice and enjoy was more tricky camera work than youd expect from a romantic flick. For me this pushed it from 3 to 4 stars.

I really liked this movie - I did not go in with any expectations, it was the title who caught my attention. Don't we all want love in our lives? This movie has shown me that life moves on, as soon we have closed the chapter of the past and that no matter how hard it is to lose our loved ones - we have to step up and do it for them, who really want us happy and find a meaning in our life again. Surely it takes time (I have been through bad times) but we should never give up!

I was pleasantly surprised at this movie, I thought that the acting was great and that the script was strong. It was funny but also heartbreaking. Being from the Northwest I also loved that it was set in Seattle, and there were obvious times that they shot on location which was nice to see.

I was dissapointed. Lack of chemistry between characters, cliches, obvious product placement, flat storyline, predictability, trying too hard humor...obviously, the movie did not sit well with me. I expected the relationship between Burke (Eckhart) and Eloise (Aniston) to be the main storyline and, therefore, went in the mood for a romantic tear-jerker. Instead I was delivered a flat drama about a conflicted, emotionally paralyzed, grief-stricken, self-help guru needing to work through his own stuff. Burke and Eloise are definitely a sub-story which never moved beyond superficial. Though I was disappointed, I must admit that my two friends who accompanied me seemed to enjoy the film. So there ya' go!

Well written, funny, and unexpected. This was a very good movie overall with a great mix of comedy and serious content. Unlike most of the horrible, unwatchable junk Hollywood seems to produce these days, THIS was actually worth the price of admission!! Took my wife to see it and had a great time!
