This movie is exactly what I expected to see when I heard the previews. It had all of the original bad guys, and a few new ones as well. The plot line was very similar to a lot of the other shot um up movies, but the action was great. Start to finish this movies was action packed, I thought the suttle catch phrases were hillarious. Any way a good overall movie. Bad Guys, Guns, A pretty girl, and lots of Action. Suprising though, and a nice touch I might add, NO NUDDITY Awesome.

This movie did not disappoint! It was action packed through and through. Not an exceptionally deep story line but good enough to keep your attention. Certainly not a chick flick, although being a chick I definitely enjoyed the good guy-bad guy head-to-head battles. Lots of excellent weaponry!

Saw this in a packed theater with other action flick fans. The plot is simple, the dialogue is minimal and the explosions are awesome. This is not a hommage to '80's action movies, it IS an '80's action movie. The bad guys are bad guys, and the good guys have bigger badder weapons and always win. If they make a sequel there is room for improvement but it was $10 and time well spent. Just watching the fight scene(s) under the palace was worth the entire price of admission.

The Expendables is NOT "Shakespeare In Love" - NOR does it pretend to be. On this weekend it is the male antidote for "Eat, Pray, Love" - and it well succeeds. It is the fun, crazy, violent, action, macho, shoot-em-up that it purports to be .... and it does it all very well .... as long as you accept the genre and premise. The weakest part of this "boys, muscles and their guns" flick is the last 25 minutes where it descends into explosive cliche ... and we have simply seen it all before. The best parts are the tongue-in-cheek humor and the unexpected scenes that throw you off a bit (I mean - Micky Rourke has the most emotional speech in this movie and he chokes up - no violence from Micky - just tattoos, sensitivity and tears). A quick, violent, crazy romp - generally pretty well done. Give it a go.

Contrary to what jaded critics are saying, "The Expendables" is a rousing, fun, action packed good time.
Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and action luminaries abound in this Super B movie that starts out with a bang then just floors it for another ninety minutes.
The move has flaws but none that are unforgivable like Angelina Jolie skinny-arm punching 200 lbs bad guys in the laughable "Salt."
No, these are men and the fight like men and they don't make them like this anymore-- but they really should.

It was a great idea to get all these action stars together. Unfortunately, the script was lacking motivations for why the characters make the decisions they do. The action scenes were servicable, even if a bit over the top. More work on the script to tighten up motivations, backstories, and humor would have made this a much better movie.

This movie is an action packed ride from beginning to end. I was very excited to see some of my favorate actors come together but wasn't sure how it would turn out. Simply put Stallone has done a stand up job and this is the best movie I have seen so far this year. Can't wait for the sequel (which is curently underway).

I really enjoyed watching all of the action in this movie. I felt that Sylvester Stalone's character would have been better played either by someone else, or with a different background. It would of pulled me in more if he had portrayed himself as losing a daughter and missing her - thus making that his reason for wanting to help the girl. Jason Statham was gorgeous as usual. I would love to of seen him and Bruce Willis as the main characters instead. I also didn't like Dolph as the druggie and think they should have switched him and the "ear" guy around. All in all though, the movie itself was funny, and very creative in it's action. I also liked that it didn't need to include F bombs with every line they said. There definitely seems to be some botox used in this film, and was a bit distracting.

I went to this show with my 16 yr old son. I myself am 39 and we both enjoyed it. He didn't know all the actors like I did but it didn't matter. I was so happy to see Dolph Lundgren in a major film again. I loved all the action and the automatic shotgun scene was the bomb!!! It just goes to show you that even though these actors are past their prime, they can still wow us and other generations. I would highly advise any action junkie to see this film. It also had it's funny moments that seemed natural, not cheesy one liners. I gave it five star for action and the star quality! Bravo!!!!!

This movie was awesome...they should make more of these movies! It was a little slow in the begining but when the shooting started...get back! I recommend this movie to anyone who likes the smell of gun powder.

Loved the movie. Big action & adventure movie lover and this one delivered. Could take the whole family to see without worrying about offensive language, etc. All were happy with the movie. And I liked the fact that I have grown up watching some of those older actors and they could still entertain my young kids.

A fun action film that lets the brain turn off and enjoy the movie. However the brain turns back on and it pulls you away from the film when the bad CGI effects pop up in the end of the film. The fake fire and the bad flame stunt with Austin distract from the climax. I couldn't help but notice all the fake effects. In a film like this it should be practical effects only for the action scenes. Do a real fire stunt for god's sake not cheap jack CGI.

I'm a 41 female & I LOVED this movie! Full of crazy action & stunts. None of it's believable but who cares - it's what I want from my action guys. Cast was perfect. The cameos are great & Statham almost steals the show. Well, after Arnie of course. I'd see it again tonite.
