Over the top fight scenes needing a story

It was a great idea to get all these action stars together. Unfortunately, the script was lacking motivations for why the characters make the decisions they do. The action scenes were servicable, even if a bit over the top. More work on the script to tighten up motivations, backstories, and humor would have made this a much better movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Fun action romance

As an older moviegoer I wasn't sure whether I'd be cool enough to get into the dialogue but I shouldn't have worried. There was plenty of humor that anyone could follow and there was no problem getting into the characters. The action/fantasy scenes were fun and the casting was perfect. A great date movie.

Smart & fun, a visual treat

My wife and two sons saw the Imax 3D version of this enjoyable movie. 3D is definitely the way to see this colorful and whimsical romp. Full of spapstick and silliness that kids enjoy while offering adults subtle, funny references to older films. This good natured film is worth the ticket price for kids of all ages.
