Eclipse is the best movie of the Twilight Series. The actors are definitely more comfortable in their characters and with each other. I also loved how it stayed very true to the book.
The wolves were awesome.
David Slade hit it out of the park.

This was the best one in the series so far! Jacob is so HOT! The director did a good job keeping the content close to the book. The Cullens' makeup was well done. There were scenes in the movie when I thought, "That is exactly how I pictured it when I was reading the book". I loved the humor and action... and of course the Jacob vs. Edward saga. The tent scene was so great! Can't wait for the next movie!

Very good adaptaion set to screen save for one thing: should have been expanded to around 3 hours! we could have viewed more of the campfire scene, more of the victoria story, and definitely more of the climactic fight scenes. other than that, the edward and bella and jacob story line is perfect, and whoever cast all of the characters in the first place, should be given kudos. perfect casting for this entire series!! can't wait for breaking dawn!

If you love the franchise, then you'll probably like it. It really felt skimmed over, which I guess with the book being that thick, you need to, but it felt rushed.
I liked the Jasper/Alice moments - brief as they were. The fight training and battle scene were also really rushed. I would have liked to see more of it where as the dialogue between Bella/Edward/Jake felt long at times.
Charile has the best lines in the movie. Love that guy.
Bella's wig was terrible. It really distracted me from the rest of the movie.
I thought the closeup shots were also distracting. You could see the makeup. I might like it better if I watched it on DVD instead of the big screen, maybe?
Overall, it was better than the other two, but could have been so much better with a few changes.
I also wished they used the music a bit better. When I hear songs off the Twilight soundtrack, I'm taken back to the movie right away. This one, I couldn't even tell you what played, and when. It's too bad really.

I enjoyed the movie like I thought I would. My only problem was too many close ups. Plus the fight scene was very fast and in the book it was a lot more of a big deal. Overall great movie.

I loved this movie. I agree, Kristen's acting leaves a bit to be desired but the movie was fantastic. Robert Pattinson is incredible and Taylor brought a nice balance of sarcasim and humor. Can't wait to see it again! By the way...no one ever talks about Charlie...love that guy!

You would think with all the money made from this series, the film quality wouldn't be so poor. It lacks digital quality for sure. The acting is horrible in all the movies. If we are lucky, they will recast and at least get a new Bella for Breaking Dawn. The story line was ok, it just was so rushed and there were several inaccuracies.

Eclipse much better than first two movies. Overall improvement in acting for all. Good action and liked the vampire and wolf "flashback" stories. Best acting to Dakota Fanning even though short screen time. Only negatives: did not like the new Victoria and entirely two many facial close-ups (as with all Twilight movies). Otherwise, beautiful shots of location. See this one and enjoy.

What's to love?
The film exceeded my expectations.
The new Victoria rocked.
The actor playing Riley will be famous.
Cinematography far outshone the previous films.
Make-up EXTRAORDINARY!
Scenes were very true to the book.
The Cullen siblings were FINALLY able to shine (no pun intended).
The meadow and engagement scenes made me cry.
Oh -yeah-if this one doesn't make you Team Edward you are blind! In all fairness, though, Jacob had a mean six pack - it was a scene stealer.
Sets up the final movies very well.
I'm crushing on Bella's Dad.

It's not often that a movie is as good as the book, but in this series that's not the case. Each one has brought the book to life faithfully, in spirit, if not in every detail. Eclipse has dutifully portrayed all of the tension between Edward and Jacob, with excellent acting on both sides. Jacob's character has grown as much as his muscles and Lautner's acting skills are as incredible as his abs. Like the book, the movie is a bit lurching,going from background story to background story. Also like the books, it is so obviously full of teen angst that it practically screams "cheesy" at moments, but the overall effect is impressive. Twilight fans will love it and the rest will have a good time.

There are some inconsistencies from the book, but what "book to movie" doesn't have those? Overall, it is the best acted of the three so far~you can tell the actors have finally fully embraced their characters and their lines are smooth. Charlie, as always, is a riot! Major Jasper should have been given more lines from the first movie as he is great. And Edward~Edward is sweet and playful as well as his typical protective self but somehow even prettier than before!

The movie overall was good, but it was definitely not the best one yet. There were a lot of changes made to this one from the book and I found it to be almost boring at times. I was so excited for this film because of the reviews it had gotten and I was a little disappointed that it wasn't closer to the book. The first two movies were dead - on. This one, not so much. I will watch again and would recommend it to my friends, however I think they could have done a better job. I'm hoping that Breaking Dawn will be much better, especially since they are breaking it up into two movies so maybe they won't have to omit so much due to time constraint.

For the true Twilight fan - be warned - there is much different about the movie than the book, Eclipse. Having said that - the movie just works. I think for time purposes several things were omitted from the book - even affecting some of the plot, but the movie still conveys the conflict and integrity of the book. The action sequences were superior to New Moon. The wolves were very realistic. The story was sweet. Everyone looked great. I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time and found myself disappointed as the movie ended. This movie is the best in the series thus far.

Took my wife to see the latest Twilight: Eclipse. Best part? Being with my wife. The movie was advertised to appeal to more men with "graphic" CGI scenes. There was one.
Instead, the two hours were filled with mostly close up scenes of the character's faces as they dialogged with each other. Needed a bit more... no, A LOT more action.
Guys, bite the bullet and take your significant other to see this movie. Enjoy the plot, which is fairly good, but don't get your expectations too high. Let's just hope they don't make these movies in 3D. Don't know if I can take Bella, Edward's, or Jacob's close-ups for 2 hours look like they are popping off the screen.
Women - enjoy yourself as you get lost in this fantasy that obviously appeals to you, and appreciate any man who accompanies you to the theater.

This third installment was by far the best of the Twilight Series to date. It at times drifted from the book, however the screenplay transitioned the story very well to big screen. You can tell that the actors are very immersed in their roles, Kristen Stewart as always has a wonderful performance, but I was delighted to see Robert Pattison and Taylor Lautner take their acting to the next level. Well Done!
