Even though this movie sure makes you think, I thought it was a lot longer than it needed to be. To me there wasnt enough action to keep it going. The acting was good! And it did have a pretty good ending to it.

I went in not really knowing anything about this film other than the fact that Juno and the kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun were in it, and that my husband was psyched to see it. Let me tell you, it was well worth the price of the babysitter and the admission. What I loved about this movie was that it mad you really think, which I haven't had in a long time. You keep thinking that you have it figured out and then there is another twist that makes you think again. I can't wait to see it again!

Do you think that Hollywood is completely devoid of any original thought whatsoever? Does it seem to you like every movie is a remake, based on a TV show, video game, etc., or something that has already been done in another movie? Well, then then you're like me before I saw Inception.
Any description of the movie I try to give wouldn't do it justice, so I'll explain the plot in the simplest way possible. Leonardo DiCaprio's character specializes in entering into people's dreams and stealing their ideas. He has been hired to plant an idea into someone (inception), as opposed to stealing it.
As for the movie itself, the plot is engaging. It's a movie that you're really going to have to pay attention to in order to follow. The special effects are well done, and they fit well into the plot of the movie. The ending is great, because it causes you to wonder if it really is a happy ending or not.
Overall, if you want your faith in Hollywood at least partially restored, go see this movie. If you want to get caught up in an interesting story for 2+ hours, go see this movie. If you want to walk out of the theater feeling like you didn't waste your money, go see this movie.

This movie is a smart person's movie. It is thought provoking. The special effects were phenomenal! The concept is extremely intriguing and you walk out thinking about your own dreams. Fantastic cast, loved every character and they all fit together so well. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I walked out after 45 minutes. That's not true. I walked out after eating my Coldstone ice cream that I got in the middle of the first 25 minutes of the film. Why? Because when a story is 1. not believable and 2. just plain awfully predictable I can't stand to watch. To expect anyone to endure 2.5 hours of this is relying on Leonardo to keep an audience. He's not that compelling in this role. Sorry.

I am avid fan of this type of movie but expected a lot more. I fought to stay awake during the boring predicable plot and mediocre special effects. I should have fallen asleep and had my own dreams. At least I would have felt some sort of emotions from that. This film never bought me "in" and never made me care about the fate of any of the characters. IMO DiCaprio was not believable in this role.

I'll start with yes, I definitely enjoyed the movie. I will say however that it did start off slow. I found myself yawning a bit at the beginning. Once the plot picked up I was definitely engaged. Suffering through the beginning is a small price to pay for the scheme that develops and ties together. A well-crafted movie with a cliffhanger ending that does not fail to disappoint. You will undoubtedly leave the theatre with a smile on your face. It is worth the money.

Director/Writer Christopher Nolan has put together one of the more complex, plot twisting, tales in recent cinematic history. I haven't worked that hard to understand a film in years, and I loved it for that. A fantastically original film with definite tributes to the Matrix, the Bond franchise, and 2001. As with other Nolan films I've viewed, I've been able to see where he is going before we get there, but the grandness of the film made the journey even more fantastic than I ever expected it could be. Becomes even more complex upon the second viewing. My top film of the year.

This film was filled with special effects ripped off from The Matrix (a film that I liked very much) and action scenes from James Bond movies (I am an avid fan of the Connery era). The problem is that there was no decent plot or story line to hold the film together. The only suspense was generated by an annoying soundtrack with a dominant base (heart?) beat. When a movie resorts to that kind of subliminal technique to raise the audience's pulse - it is a dead giveaway that the movie is sorely lacking. An embarrassment to DiCaprio, Hollywood, and on a more profound level, American culture. Such a waste - Just imagine what else $200 million could have bought!

When i first seen the trailer i figured the movie would be great. I was not expecting to see have the most intense and greatest cinematic experience ever. From start to finish this movie is as close as perfection a movie can get, no weak points in the movie. Plot is INSANE, excellent acting,superb soundtrack, phenomenal special effects. The most complex and intriguing storyline ever in a film i have ever seen. I have seen it twice in theaters already and i plan on going a third time tonight. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! from now on there is Inception and then their is all other movies.

From the previews (which are, of course..ALWAYS misleading!), I expected more action. Good story and production values. Would have liked a few more special effects and it could have been shorter but worth the matinee price.

If you have problems following complex plots or are younger than about 13 or 14, this is not for you. Yes, it is a movie you have to think about at times, but it's easy to get lost in the plot. Not lost ABOUT, but immersed, IN the plot. You also have to follow it carefully. No, this is not a fiilm for anyone who just wants to sit back and be entertained. My mind and thought processes were entertained with INCEPTION. DiCaprio, Watanabe and the rest of the cast were superb and the plot kept me guessing as to which level the characters were inhabiting. Ellen Page lent a bit of sanity and was also terrific. Fantastic use of advanced vocabulary. I would just say, too, that if you have a chance, see the IMAX version. I just saw it at the Ziegfeld, and now I want to go to a different theatre and experience the IMAX.

My son loved this movie and was quite sure it was the best movie ever so I went with him to see it. It really held our attention every minute. Visually it was incredible. Sometimes movies like this leave you feeling like they left out a few vital points but it all comes together so you aren't confused and bewildered at the end. I'm glad I didn't read anything about it before so nothing was spoiled for me. As a mom I appreciated that it was movie I could feel comfortable seeing with my teenage son without one of us or both being embarrassed by sexual themes or colorful language.

You have to see this with everyone you know - otherwise, you will be dying to discuss it and will be unable to do so without ruining it. The movie has an unimpressive start - seems like it will be disjointed and sort of "artsy" - but it soon rockets off into an intellectual thrill ride. I was highly anticipating this movie's release ... and wasn't let down. Despite its lengthy running time, this movie kept me engrossed for every minute. I must admit to being a big Nolan fan, but even so, INCEPTION is a refreshingly original movie that combines action and imagination with an intellectual side to create a unique movie experience. Easily my favorite movie of the year so far (watch 5-10 movies a month). High replay value as well ... you must pay attention the entire time to catch the details that will have you coming back for more and asking, "what is INCEPTION?"

Inception: predictable from the mind of a critical thinker but worth every second. a very well made movie. very thought provoking on many levels including scientificly, moraly, and chronologicly. character stories were its only down side in that the question of be happy or do right grips the main character from start to finish. (a minor flaw compared to the complexity and originality of the film) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is one of the best movies I've seen all year. The concept behind it is very interesting and keeps you on your toes the whole time. There is always the question of if what you are seeing is real or not. The story of the main character also pulls you into what is actually happening. It also has one of my favorite kinds of endings. If you like movies with action, drama, and that make you think,,, you will love this movie.

A quick analogy of this movie is Momento + the Matrix. You have to pay attention the whole movie to understand it. But you dont have to be a rocket scientist to understand it. It was a good, well developed movie.

Great Fiilming and Special Efffects ! Are we dreaming now or not - really plays with your mind (loved that !) . Plot line a little to predictable as well as the typical array of characters -the hero, love interests, sidekicks, the villians, etc Still worth going to see
