Director/Writer Christopher Nolan has put together one of the more complex, plot twisting, tales in recent cinematic history. The acting is excellent, the storyline extremely engaging, and this movie is one that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. Visually stunning, this is a thinking person's movie as well. I highly recommend it, and I look forward to my 2nd viewing of this flick soon!
This movie had all the potential to be a great flick, but the writing took it in a totally predictable and hopeless direction. I haven't been as disappointed in a movie since "Hancock" took the soap opera turn that it took. Without giving away the "twist" (which was so blatantly hinted at in the first conversation between Cage and his "son" in the movie), let me just say that this one runs out of steam about 3/4 of the way through it. I am generally a fan of Nick Cage, but he should have stayed away from this dog of a movie.
Interesting storyline, and excellent acting make this movie worth a look. The racist attitudes of the character portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson are prevalent by people of all skin pigmentation and should not be allowed to continue. Unfortunately, I see no end in sight to this blight on our society. This story is gripping from the very beginning and the ending does not disappoint at all. Glad I finally got to see it.
